Garbers and Whisenant set wedding date

Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Garbers of Fairmont, Minnesota, proudly announces their daughter, Dawn Elizabeth Garbers’s engagement and forthcoming marriage to William Anderson Whisenant of Holly Springs.

Dawn is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Miller and Mrs. Sandra Bollum of Fairmont, MN. She graduated from Martin County West High School class of 2022. She received her Certified Nursing Assistant certificate from Minnesota West Technical College and is employed with REM Heartland as a direct support professional.

William is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Whisenant of Holly Springs. He is the grandson of Mr. Bobby Seale, the late Mrs. Dorothy Seale, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Whisenant, all of Holly Springs. He graduated from Marshall Academy as a Salutatorian of the class of 2016 and received many honors and awards in high school. He attended Northwest Community College on a full scholarship and received the Outstanding Student Award in Marketing Communication /Public Relations Management. He was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. He graduated from Northwest Community College in 2018 and continued his education at Delta State University, where he received the Phi Theta Kappa academic scholarship. He graduated from Delta State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing.

The wedding will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 4 p.m. at Lincoln Park in Fairmont, MN, with the reception to follow at Red Rock in Fairmont, MN. There will be a reception for the couple on Saturday, September 23, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Activities Center in Holly Springs. All friends and family are invited to attend. The couple will reside in Fairmont, Minnesota.
