Sarah and Jason Taylor took on the wilds of Florence, Ala., last weekend. They meandered on to Muscle Shoals where Jason got to pick on his dream guitar. A lot of people may not know this hidden talent of Jason’s, but he can pick a guitar with the best of them.

If you have not had a chance to take a gander of the exterior wall on the street side of the Chamber of Commerce, it is worth a drive to that side of the square. I meandered down the block earlier in the week when I noticed some color on the vast white space. Monday, it looked like the center of a flower. By Tuesday, the two artists had laid more paint and the scene was coming into view. It appears that it is going to be two beautifully colored hummingbirds amidst gorgeous flowers. I am not sure who commissioned the two ladies, but they are doing an incredible job. At this pace, the mural should be finished by the weekend. How fun for our town and all of the visitors we have here. Kudos to whomever sought out the duo and had them come here to bring their vision to life on the wall.
