John Paul Bumpas

John Paul Bumpas, 87, of Hickory Flat, died March 29, 2024, at his home. He was a member of the Baptist Church where he served as deacon. He retired from the Social Security Administration and served in the United States Air Force Reserve and Auxiliary.
Services were held at First Baptist Church of Hickory Flat on April 2 at 11 a.m. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Ruth Phillips Bumpas.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mattie Collins Bumpas; brothers, Oliver Bumpas, Kent Bumpas, Dean Bumpas; and sister, Maxine Woods.
