Henry Lewis Briggs

Henry Lewis Briggs, 76, of Lamar, died February 16, 2024. He was a member of Concord MB Church in Lamar.

Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Feb. 23 from 4-6 p.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 24 at Concord MB Church with burial in the church cemetery.

He leaves his sons, Eric S. Briggs (Toya) of Chicago, Ill., Darren Veasey of Memphis, Tenn.; daughters, Annette Briggs of Chicago, Sharonda Veasey of Memphis; brothers, Ted Briggs (Carolyn) of Memphis, Victor J. Briggs (Connie) of Lamar; sisters, Corine McGowan (Vinson) of Southaven, Marilyn Rankin Polk (William) of Memphis, Brenda Joyce Briggs of Byhalia; nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Fredrick Briggs, Henry "Jack" Briggs Jr., Reggie Veasey; brothers, Theordore Briggs Jr., James "Pete" Briggs; and sister, Anita Wyatt.
