Welcome home Tammy Cupp and Happy Birthday to Billy Cupp Jr.
Happy birthday wishes to Billy Cupp, Jr., who flipped a number Friday.
Welcome home to Tammy Cupp, who returned from a mini-vacation last week.
It must be city election year - political signs are cropping up in yards all over town. Candidates will soon be making rounds to homes asking for support. Instead of just listening to their promises, ask them some questions. Holding an office should be an honor, considering the people who vote obviously have confidence in the ones they elect to be fair and honest.
Elected officials should be held to a higher standard. They should actually care more about our town than the residents.
Look back on the past four years - were positive changes made? Are we still stagnant? Has our town moved forward in any way? Ask the candidates hard questions. Plan on going to the polls informed! As hard as running against an incumbent may be, those who step up to run against them may have fresh and new ideas - ways to put our town and its residents first.
I recall numerous conversations with elected officials who said one thing and did another. I am certain I am not the only one.
We need to make sure with this election that the right people for these positions are elected. Stand up for our town! Get informed! Get out and show your support for the candidates of your choice! It does no good to gripe and moan if you are not willing to be part of the change. Help Holly Springs move forward by listening to what candidates have to say.
Just asking for your vote should not be enough. You should ask what things they have done (or will do) to help us, the citizens of Holly Springs, and our town!
