Ernestine Carter Blair
Ernestine Carter Blair, 59, of Holly Springs, died Aug. 22, 2013, at Alliance HealthCare in Holly Springs. She was the widow of Lucious Blair. She was a retired school teacher with Benton County School System.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 31 at Newell Chapel CME Church in Victoria, where she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Willie Hoey will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She leaves two daughters, Paula Cannon of Warner Robins, Ga., Lanise Blair of Holly Springs; six sisters, Willie Mae Covington of Minneapolis, Minn., Lillie Mae Runnels of Tunica, Elizabeth Jones of Red Banks, Cora Carter of Vicksburg, Jessica Upshire of Byram, Emma Walker of Vicksburg; a brother, James Carter of Vicksburg; two stepdaughters, Laurel Blair of Byhalia, Margie Faye Blair of Memphis, Tenn.; a grandson and 11 stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Luella Maxwell Carter; and a brother, Herman Tate.
Pamela Gail Campbell
Pamela Gail Campbell, 52, of Ashland, died Aug. 24, 2013, at her home. She was a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church and a justice court clerk.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 27 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Ashland Church of Christ Cemetery. Bro. Gerald Hodges and Bro. Frank Feathers officiated.
She leaves her husband, Reuben Campbell; her son, Stephen Campbell (Candice) of Lewisburg; three daughters, Brandy Kay Griffin (John), Mandy Gail Owen (Michael), both of Falkner, Amy Potts (Donnie) of Mt. Pleasant; her mother and father, Kay Roberson and Floyd Roberson Jr., of Ashland; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Griffin, Jackie Creasie, Stephen Campbell, Michael Owen, Chris Campbell, Donnie Potts and Arnie McMullen. Honorary pallbearers were Judge Brody Childers, Richard Griffin, Judge Gary McBride and Terry Campbell.

Jack Carlton Holland, 78, of Holly Springs, died Aug. 23, 2013, in Waterford. He was a retired plant foreman at Clipper Abrasives.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 26 at Waterford Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Ruby Lois Holland; two sons, Ed Holland of Waterford, Robert Holland of Holly Springs; his daughter, Virginia Miller of Fort Myers, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Juanita J. Jenkins
Juanita J. Jenkins, 44, of Holly Springs, died Aug. 20, 2013, at Baptist Hospital in Collierville, Tenn. She was a member of Simon Chapel MB Church.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 24 at Gospel Center Temple COGIC in Moscow, Tenn. Burial was in Williams Temple COGIC Cemetery in Moscow. Pastor, Elder Robert Williams was eulogist. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her husband, Christopher Jenkins; two daughters, Tianna Jenkins, Chrishunna Jenkins, both of Holly Springs; a son, Toney Turner Jr. of Holly Springs; her mother, Lovie J. Briggs of Lamar; five brothers, Eddie Jones, Carl (Lisa) Jones, Earl Jones, all of Memphis, Tenn., Vernon L. Briggs (Teresa) of Byhalia, James Jones (Anita) of Cordova, Tenn.; five sisters, Carl Childs (Tyrone) of Florida, Angela Jones of Slayden, Earline, Brinda, Beneta Jones, all of Memphis; a stepson, Olandrius Jenkins of Grand Junction, Tenn.; and her grandmother Willie Alberta Briggs.
Pallbearers were James Jones, Dante’ Jenkins, Roy Jones, Donell Hunt, Andrew Jones and Darion Hunt. Honorary pallbearers were Toney Turner Jr. and Olandrius Jenkins.

Robert Eugene McGee
Robert Eugene McGee, 81, of Byhalia, died Aug. 24, 2013. He was the widower of Agnes Corrine. He was a Sunday school teacher and assisted with various odd jobs and maintenance tasks at his church. He was an active member of Byhalia Lodge #115, where he served as past master. He was a member of the North Mississippi Masonic Motorcycle Club. He also served as past patron of Loftin Chapter 309 Eastern Star and a member of the Zaman Grotto. He retired from Northcentral Electric Power Co.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 27 at First Baptist Church of Byhalia, where he was a member. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in New Albany. Brantley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his daughter, Sandra Thompson (Morris) of Byhalia; his son, Ralph J. McGee of Diamondhead; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Kay McGee (Rhonda Cosentino); two sisters, Hettie Maude Teague, Irene Deming; and three brothers, James McGee, John Everett McGee and J.P. McGee.
Joe Allen Reed
Joe Allen Reed, 54, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Marshall County, died Aug. 17, 2013. He graduated from Sand Flat High School in 1978.
High Point Funeral Home & Crematorium, Memphis, Tenn., was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves two daughters, Tammy Porcher of Memphis, Tenn., and Tiffany Reed of Arizona; his mother, Ethel Reed of Byhalia; a sister, Patricia Boor of Wisconsin; three brothers, David, Earl and Jeff, all of Byhalia; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Don.
Malcolm Eugene Rhea
Malcolm Eugene Rhea, 84, of Macedonia, died Aug. 15, 2013, at his home. He was the widower of Haskell Shirley Rhea. He was a retired brick salesman and a past president of Mississippi Home Builders Association. He was an active board member of BCM Water Association
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 17 at Macedonia Baptist Church, where he was a member. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery in Myrtle. Rev. Louie Williams and Rev. Billy Foley officiated. United Funeral Service of New Albany was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves a daughter, Belinda Rhea Davis of Macedonia; a son, Gary Rhea (Nancy) of Macedonia; a sister, Nina Rhea Work of Holly Springs; a brother, Gerald Rhea of Brownsville, Tenn.; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers were David Reeves, Kevin Cooper, Jimmy Shirley, Brian Knight, Chris Knight, Cliff Sojourner, Michael Sojourner, Rod Work, Patrick Rhea and Ricky Moody. Honorary pallbearers were the adult men’s Sunday school class of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Charles Edward Rhodes
Charles Edward Rhodes, 49, of Red Banks, died Aug. 20, 2013, in Red Banks. He was a Baptist and a construction worker.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on Aug. 22 at Carey Chapel Church. Burial was in the church cemetery in Red Banks.
He leaves a daughter, Chelsea Rhodes of Red Banks; three brothers, Charles L. Rhodes, Luke Rhodes, both of Red Banks, Mark Rhodes of Cordova, Tenn.; and a sister, Carol Gossage of Lewisburg.
Bobby Street, 50, of Byhalia, died Aug. 19, 2013. He was a machine operator with ACE Pump Company in Memphis, Tenn.
Services were held at 12 noon on Aug. 28 at Union Valley MB Church in Byhalia, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Joe Richmond officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Emmie McKinney Street; nine children, Santana McKinney of Memphis, Tenn., LaKetra McKinney, Brittany McKinney, both of Holly Springs, Beyonica McKinney of Little Rock, Ark., Moesha Street, Tompekia McKinney, Terrica Street, Bobby McKinney, Bobby Street Jr., all of Byhalia; his mother, Juanita Phillips Street of Byhalia; his father, James Street of Horn Lake; five sisters, Mary Jane Pope, Judy Street, Tonya Street, Dianne Tyson, Brenda Street, all of Byhalia, Charlotte Rucker of Holly Springs; three brothers, Jerome Street of Aurora, Ill., Larickius Street of Horn Lake, Bernard Echols of Byhalia; and seven grandchildren.

Rickey L. Young, 51, of Grand Junction, Tenn., died Aug. 17, 2013, at his home.
Services were held at 12 noon on Aug. 24 at St. James Church of God in Christ in Grand Junction. Burial was in Grand Junction City Cemetery. Elder Otis Shaw officiated. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves a brother, William Danny Young of Bolivar, Tenn.; and three sisters, Ruby Buggs, Rena Shaw, both of Memphis, Tenn., Myrtle Young of Grand Junction, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

William Lee Young, 78, of Holly Springs, died Aug. 22, 2013, in Saucier. He was a Baptist and a truck driver.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 25 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Bro. Harold Smith officiated.
He leaves his wife, Mary Young of Independence; three sons, Robert Young of Memphis, Tenn., Glen Young (Gloria) of Byhalia, Ronny Young (Donna) of Holly Springs; a daughter, Tammy Waldron (Kenny) of Red Banks; his brother, James Freddie Young of Holly Springs; two sisters, Helen G. Morton of Saucier, Bobby Jean Young of West Virginia; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Willean Miller Porter
Willean Miller Porter, 76, of Holly Springs, died Aug. 24, 2013, at her home. She was the widow of Nimrod Porter. She was a member of New Hope MB Church in Laws Hill, a former member of the church mass choir and a former Sunday school teacher.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 31 at Anderson Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs. Burial will be in New Hope MB Church Cemetery. Rev. Keith Mason will officiate.
She leaves two daughters, Priscilla Porter of Holly Springs, Gertrude Willean Woodson of Tucson, Ariz.; a son, Mark Nimrod Porter of Holly Springs; three stepchildren, Waurean Porter, Ella R. Porter, Tommy Porter, all of Aurora, Ill.; a sister, Fadrie Phillips of Waterford; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a special godson, Troy Brown Jr. of Greenwood.
She was preceded in death by sisters Alma Howell, Ineice Clark, Annie Wynn Miller; and brothers Phil Miller, Garmon Miller, Clarence Miller and Floyd Miller.
Catherine Marye Price
Catherine Marye Price, 39, of Red Banks, died Aug. 24, 2013. She was a Methodist.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on Aug. 27 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
