MA cheerleaders attend camp
The varsity cheerleading squad from Marshall Academy attended an intensive four-day camp at Mississippi State last week. Lauralee Fant surprised them by attending some of their sessions. The girls – Alaken McNeer, Elizabeth Skelton, Alli Smith, Cheyenne Bolden, Caitlyn Brooks, Mary Catherine Hutchens, Wesleyann Ray and Lexi Crawford – were accompanied by their fearless leader, Dwana McAlexander.
Melinda Skelton and Doug Bragg traveled to Joe Wheeler State Park in Alabama over the weekend. They were visiting their daddy, Joe Bragg, and his wife Shirley.

Melissa Ainsworth to wed Jonathan Moore June 29 at Goodlett Manor in Tupelo
Melissa Lynne Ainsworth of Tupelo and Jonathan Lee Moore of Holly Springs are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Donna Ainsworth and the late Ted M. Ainsworth of Magee. Her grandparents are David and Carolyn Andrews of Tupelo and the late Ulius and Myrtis Ainsworth of Magee.
Melissa is a 2002 graduate of Magee High School. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Jones County Junior College in 2004. Melissa graduated with honors with a degree in elementary education from Mississippi State University in December, 2006. She earned a master’s in counseling from the University of West Alabama. Melissa has been employed as a third grade teacher at Verona Elementary School for the last four years. She will be employed as a third grade teacher at Ashland Elementary School in the fall.
The prospective groom is the son of Kerry and Debby Moore of Potts Camp. His grandparents are Joe and Loyce Cox of Waterford, James and Louise Jennings of Potts Camp, and the late Melvin Moore and James Daniels.
Jonathan graduated from Northeast Community College in 2002 with an associate degree in electrical technology. He is currently employed at Booker Hardware and the Holly Springs Fire Department.
The couple will exchange vows Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at the historic Goodlett Manor in Tupelo. A reception will follow at the manor.
Family and friends are invited to attend. The couple will make their home in Holly Springs.
