Congratulations to Steven Dillard, a junior at Potts Camp High School, who was selected as one of 12 students from the state of Mississippi to be a member of the 2013-2014 Generation FREE Youth Advisory Board.
Dillard’s selection was based on an essay he wrote and an oral interview by the youth advisory board and Frederick Wiley, Youth Programs director.
As part of the youth advisory board, Dillard will work to educate youth about the dangers of tobacco use. Also, Dillard will help to plan and implement L.E.A.D. and iFLY conferences, along with S.M.A.R.T. training workshop presentations, for students throughout the state of Mississippi.
Dillard is a member of the Potts Camp FCCLA, which is sponsored by Cindy Nance, family and consumer science teacher at Potts Camp High School.
Nance is also on the Board of the Mississippi Tobacco FREE Coalition, sponsored by Linda Turner.
