Close to Nowhere By Linda Jones Tribute to Mrs. Dale When
I first began working at The South Reporter, I had no idea how many
people I’d meet that would have such an impact on how I view life. Two
of those people are now gone -- Henderson Milan, who wrote the Holly
Springs news for The South Reporter (for 72 years) passed away in
December of 2009, and Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, Dale Hollingsworth passed
away. Mrs. Hollingsworth wrote the Potts Camp
News for around 30 years. Mary Minor and I weren’t exactly sure, since
“forever” wasn’t right. But I trust Mary’s judgment, so about 30 is

The Preacher’s Corner By Rev. Dr. Milton Winter Imagine St. Paul’s epistles as a text... Nobody
could get more writing on a penny postcard than my Auntie Fran. She
would fill the regular message area, then she would write around the
margins of the card, intruding into the area reserved for the address.
Then she would turn the card over and write on the picture side,
usually comments on what she and Uncle Bill had seen — they traveled
the world in their 70+ years of marriage. You simply cannot perform

Letter To The Editor Thank you To the Editor, The
family of the late Harold “Bully” Palmer would like to thank The South
Reporter, Supervisor District 5 Ronnie Bennett, the Marshall County
Board of Supervisors, Administrator Larry Hall, Sheriff Kenny Dickerson
and the family and friends who attended the road dedication in memory
of Harold “Bully” Palmer on Jan. 20. This was a wonderful meeting and
was appreciated by the family. Thanks to all, Maxine Palmer, wife Blake Palmer and family Lisa Looney and family
