Byhalia High School students honored for excellence
Byhalia High School administrators and teachers honored the students who excelled academically during the first nine weeks grading period with a special breakfast and awards program. Stu-dents who scored 85 or above were provided medallions for the Principal’s List, while students who scored 94 or above were given plaques for the Superintendent’s List. Princi-pal Charles LeSure stated, “Oftentimes we place more of our praise on students who excel athletically. At Byhalia High, while we recognize the accomplishments of our athletes, we want to ensure that our students who work above and beyond in the classrooms do not go unnoticed. This program is only one of many rewards that we will provide for students who strive for academic excellence. We have Academic Achievement and Positive Behavior Plans for improving the school culture and climate, which will inevitably help us create an environment that is conducive for learning.”
