Deadline December 12 for Christmas edition The holiday edition of The South Reporter will be published December 20. The deadline for Christmas greetings ads from businesses is Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 5 p.m. The December 20 edition of The South Reporter will include “Letters to Santa” from school children in the county. Byhalia police officers respond to 32 calls The Byhalia Police Department responded to 32 calls during the past week. Chief
Gary Looney released the following report – alarm calls, 1;
miscellaneous, 6; escorts, 8; disturbances, 1; animals, 2; assists, 1;
motor vehicle accidents, 2; fires, 1; burglaries, 2; medical, 4;
trespassing, 1; and DUI, 3. Byhalia police officers also made two arrests during the past week and wrote nine citations. Christmas concert set for Monday at BHS The
Joyous Sounds of Christmas, featuring the Byhalia middle and high
school bands and choirs in concert, will be held next Monday, Dec. 10,
at 6 p.m. at Byhalia High School. The special guest will be the Galena Middle School band. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy a special night of holiday music performed by these young people.
