November 29

• Parent Training Holly Springs Districtwide Parent Center will sponsor its third Parent Training Session at 12 (noon) in the Parent Center on the Intermediate School campus for parents with students in grades 4-12, on “If My Child is Failing, What Must I Do?” Vicki Washington, social worker for the Intermediate School will be the presenter and lunch will be served.

December 1

• Singing Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church, located a half mile south of Goodman on Cayce Rd., will hold their monthly singing on Saturday, December 1, beginning at 7 p.m. Featured guests this month will be The Downs Family, from Booneville. Bro. Billy Watkins invites everyone.

• State drive Ark of Safety Outreach Ministries, Pastor Bruce Lee and Doris Williams, 4201 Hwy. 178 W., Red Banks. Dec. 1, 6 p.m.

• Members meeting Holly Springs Lodge #35. Members, please attend the Dec. 3 meeting, 7 p.m. Election of officers.

• Conference Boys to Men Conference, Sat., Dec. 1, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Eddie L. Smith Multi-Purpose Building. “From hurting malehood to healthy manhood,” with free admission. Sponsored by the Holly Springs Marshall County Baptist Ministerial Alliance.

• Anniversary The Dynamic Angels will celebrate their anniversary at 7 p.m. on Dec. 1 at Jones Grove MB Church. All gospel groups, male choruses, church choirs and soloists are asked for an A and B selection. All pastors and church families are invited.

• RODEO The Tennessee High School Rodeo will be held December 1 and 2 at Robert Rainey Arena, 928 Quinn Road, Barton. Performances start at 7 p.m.

• Christmas bazaar Town and Country Garden Club, at the 1837 Sabbath School building, Dec. 1-2, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sat. and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday. Proceeds will help with maintenance of the historic building.

• Free clothes giveway Grays Chapel CME Church and the Hudsonville community, Sat., Dec. 1, from 7 a.m.-12 noon, in Grays Church fellowship hall, 3682 Hudsonville Rd.

December 2

• ANNUAL SERVICE Anderson Chapel CME Church hosts their annual Hanging of the Greens Service, 5 p.m. Rev. Denise Anders-Modest, pastor, invites all. The church is located at 730 Martin Luther King Jr., Dr. Refreshments will be served. For transportation call 252-1938.

December 4

• Pot luck The Marshall County Humane Society would like to invite any animal lovers out there to our Christmas Pot Luck. Tuesday, December 4, 6 p.m. at our Adoption Center in Holly Springs. All you need to do is bring a dish to share with everyone. If you need directions, call 662-564-2900 or email Dogsncats11@gmail.com. We are looking for new members who would like to donate a few hours a month or a week. We have needs in lots of different areas and would love to have your help.

• Meeting Friends of the Library will meet Tues., Dec. 4, 12 noon at the Marshall County Library in Holly Springs. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome. Rev. Bruce McMillan will lead a Christmas carol sing-along and give the stories behind your favorite carols. Come and bring a friend.

December 6

•Relay For Life, Marshall County team captain meeting, Thurs., Dec. 6, 5:15 p.m. at the Marshall County Library. It is time to register your team. No enrollment fee if you register at or before the meeting. If you can’t come, please send someone from your team. Committee will meet after this meeting, 6:15. We still need more people to join the planning committee.

December 8

• A Way In A Manger, Christmas play at CrossPointe Christian Fellowship, 6400 Blocker St. in Olive Branch, Sat., Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. and on Sun., Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. Pastor Doug Bell invites everyone!

• Breakfast with Santa - Hosted by the MYF - Sat., Dec. 8, 8 - 10 a.m., $5 per person, children under 3 free. Emory Independent Methodist Church Life Center, 872 Watson Road, Byhalia.

December 9

• Love Day Annual Love Day at Ark of Safety Outreach Ministries, for Pastor Bruce Lee and Doris Williams, 4201 Hwy. 178 W., Red Banks. Dec. 9, 3 p.m. with guest speaker Pastor Michael Gordon and New Springhill Church family.

• Appreciation service Mt. Sinai C.O.G.I.C. of Mt. Pleasant will have an Appreciation Service for Minister Raymond and Jorena Pritchard at 3 p.m. Special guests will be Supvain Pritchard and the Garden of Grace C.O.G.I.C. of Memphis, Tenn. Everyone is invited. Pastor is Curtis Pritchard Sr.

December 10

• In concert Byhalia High School presents The Joyous Sounds of Christmas with the Byhalia Middle and High School bands and choirs in concert. Special guests will be the Galena Middle School Concert Band. Mon., 6 p.m., Dec. 10 at Byhalia High School.

December 15

• Christmas gala The Mt. Sinai C.O.G.I.C. of Mt. Pleasant, will host a Christmas gala, 6 p.m. There will be live music, dancing, chorus singers, door prizes, and delicious food. All tickets are $10. • Christmas cantata The Holly Springs Community Choir will present its annual Christmas Cantata, 6 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 225 W. College Ave. All are invited. Free admission and light refreshments will be served in the church hall after the performance.

• Recovery Meeting SOS Christian Recovery Ministries will host a group meeting Friday evenings at 6 p.m. The group’s primary focus is drug addiction, alcoholism and the affected families. There will be a group for family members to learn how to cope and heal from the destructive behavior of an addict or an alcoholic in the family.
