Gary Albert Cartwright
Gary Albert Cartwright, 67, of Byhalia, died Nov. 2, 2012, at Baptist Hospital DeSoto. He was a Christian, a truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 5 at Byhalia Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Delisa Cartwright; two sons, Gary Albert Cartwright Jr. of Red Banks, Jason Lee Cartwright of Rossville, Tenn.; three daughters, Tina Hall, Tammy Griffus, both of Byhalia, Tassie Cartwright of Como; four brothers, Jimmy Nichols, Jackie Nichols, Paul Cartwright, Bobby Cartwright, all of Byahlia; four sisters, Sarah Brownlee of Blythville, Ark., Elouise Lewis of Olive Branch, Junie Mae Pinnons of Ripley, Charlene Bullard of Thrasher; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chris Feathers, Curtis Elkins, Brad Feathers, Toby Feathers, Chad Feathers, Dewayne Elkins, Johnny Watkins and Lane Read.

Ruth Lucille Davidson Plummer
Ruth Lucille Davidson Plummer, 80, of Holly Springs, died Nov. 3, 2012, at Baptist Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. She was the widow of Edward Plummer and a member of the Mother’s Board.
Services will be held at 12 noon on Nov. 10 at Rising Star MB Church in Holly Springs, where she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Robert McClain will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her daughter, Sherron Plummer, of Holly Springs.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Plummer; two sons, Harrison Plummer, James Plummer; a sister, Ella Evans; three brothers, Walter Davidson, William Tom Davidson and Aurelius Davidson.
James William Tuttle
James William “Kingsnake” Tuttle, 75, died Nov. 2, 2012, at his home in Byhalia. He was the co-founder of Tri State Sprinkler, based in Memphis, Tenn.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 5 at Victory Church in Byhalia. Burial was in Byhalia Cemetery. Rev. Melvin Shackleford and Rev. Brownie Toehill officiated. Wells Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Batesville was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Sandy; four children, Lori Wilson (Faye Watson) of Byhalia, Debby Weathers (Charley) of Birmingham, Ala., Tim Tuttle (Betty) of Harmontown, Tammy Singleton (Mike) of Lake Wales, Fla.; his brother, Jerry Tuttle of Harmontown; four grandsons, three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
The family requests memorials be made to Victory Baptist Church in Byhalia.
