Springs Mayor Andre’ DeBerry announces a public meeting to discuss the
issue of high utility bills and problems with the utility department. Issues
that customers have about these two concerns will be addressed by the
mayor at this meeting on Thursday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m. in the
Multi-Purpose Building on North Memphis Street. Citizens with written complaints can bring them to the meeting to become a part of the record, he said. City board meeting moved to November 7 The
next scheduled meeting of the Holly Springs mayor and board of aldermen
will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 5:30 p.m. at city hall. Time changes Sunday; ‘fall back’ one hour Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday, Nov. 4, at 2 a.m. Remember to wind your clocks back one hour prior to going to bed Saturday night. Standard Time will last just four months. Daylight Saving time will return on Sunday, March 10, 2013. Holly Springs parade slated for December 1 The
annual Holly Jolly Christmas Parade in downtown Holly Springs will be
held Saturday, Dec. 1. It is sponsored by the Main Street Chamber. The line-up begins at 3 p.m. in the Old Colonial parking area, with judging at 4 p.m. The parade starts at 5 p.m. All entries must be received by November 28. County school board will next meet Nov. 15 The Marshall County Board of Education announces a change of date for its next meeting. The
school board will meet for the regular November meeting on Thursday,
Nov. 15, at 4:30 p.m. at 103B Market Street, in Holly Springs. Registration begins for youth basketball The
City of Holly Springs Parks and Recreation Department youth basketball
registration is open for youth between the ages of 8 and 16. Parents may register at city hall during normal business hours until Nov 9. |
