representative Kelvin Buck and board consultant Gary Anderson recently
discussed with the supervisors legislation and other needs to take to
Jackson for the upcoming session. Kicking off the
talks, supervisor Ronnie Joe Bennett expressed dissatisfaction at the
lack of reciprocity given Mississippi contractors when they go out of

have been planted by Friends of the Library. Urns have been filled to

Search and Rescue trains in Holly Springs By SUE WATSON Staff Writer Since 1996, the Network of Canine Detection Services has been holding its annual training conference in Holly Springs. D.J.
Beddow, a trainer from Ft. Myers, Fla., said she does not know if the
group has skipped a year or not. But what attracts the group to Holly
Springs are the facilities at Wall Doxey State Park and the community
that welcomes their community and their dogs and businesses that open

Holly Springs police respond to 105 calls Holly Springs police officers responded to 105 calls last week, according to chief William Hollowell. The
calls included – disturbances, 10; alarms, 12; larcenies, 7; assaults,
4; burglaries, 4; accidents, 3; assists to agencies, 2; funeral
escorts, 4; checks on shut-ins, 2; 911 hang-ups, 3; and 54
miscellaneous calls. The dog catcher responded to 10 calls. Full Story
Byhalia parade Dec. 8 The Town of Byhalia has scheduled its Christmas parade for Saturday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m. Grand marshal this year is 2-year-old Ashlynn McClure. If

Gary Looney released the following report – alarm calls, 3;
miscellaneous, 10; escorts, 6; thefts, 1; disturbances, 1; animals, 2;
motor vehicle accidents, 4; fires, 2; and medical, 6. Byhalia police officers also made four arrests during the past week and wrote 11 citations. |
