were held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 20 at Stillwater Church in Senatobia.

Jean Brown, 66, of the Villages, Fla., formerly of Holly Springs, died
Sept. 23, 2012. She was a member of the Village of Faith Baptist Church
of the Villages, Fla. She was a former member of First Baptist Church
in Holly Springs. Visitation will be held at 2:30
p.m. on Sept. 29 at the First Baptist Church of Holly Springs. Memorial
services will be held at 3 p.m. She leaves her
husband, Chesterfield Brown Jr. of the Villages, Fla.; their children,
Chad Brown (Yvonne) of Gulfport, Renee Horvath (Bobby) of Millington,

Hernandez Clifton Brown Jr., 32, of Holly Springs, died Sept. 15, 2012.
He was a member of Sand Hill MB Church in Lamar, attended Holly Springs
High School and was an unemployed factory worker. Services
were held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 22 at New Dimension Salt & Light
Ministries in Holly Springs. Burial was in Sand Hill MB Church

Springs; and his grandfather, Bobby Lee Rodgers of Oakland, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Brown. Jerry Wayne Colston Jerry Wayne Colston, 62, of Holly Springs, died Sept. 17, 2012, at Alliance HealthCare. He was a Baptist and disabled. Graveside

in Memphis, Tenn. He was the widower of Debra Smith Jones. He was a

Gerlean Raimey Finley, 62, died September 13, 2012. Services

Izoma Foote, 87, of Potts Camp, died Sept. 19, 2012, at Baptist
Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was the widow of Roy J. Foote. She was a

Earl Rounds, 51, of Holly Springs, died Sept. 24, 2012, at Baptist
DeSoto Hospital in Southaven. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard
for more than seven years as a tanker and he was a disabled former
employee of Sunbeam Company. Services were held
at 11 a.m. on Sept. 29 at Christ Temple COGIC in Holly Springs, where
he was a member. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Supt. Albert

Morris Scott, 88, of Byhalia, died Sept. 16, 2012, at Baptist
Hospital-North MS in Oxford. She was the widow of Eddie Scott. She was
a missionary and Sunday school teacher. She was a retired laborer with
Cartwright Nursery in Collierville, Tenn. Services
were held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 22 at Mt. Pisgah CME Church in Byhalia,
where she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Eddie

Claire Shaw, 97, of Holly Springs, died Sept. 22, 2012, at
Christopher’s Personal Care Home. She was the widow of Halle Shaw. She
was a member and officer of the Pilot Club, the DAR and the UDC. She
was a member of First Baptist Church of Holly Springs and retired

Warren
Teel, 73, of Mt. Pleasant, died Sept. 15, 2012, at his home. He was a
member of Carey Chapel Baptist Church and served as deacon. He was a
member of the Mississippi Army National Guard. He was a lifelong
carpenter and woodworker in north Mississippi and west Tennessee areas
before retiring in 1990. Services were held at
2 p.m. on Sept. 17 at Carey Chapel Baptist Church near Mt. Pleasant.
Rev. Barry Littlefield, pastor, and Warren’s cousin, pastor Carl Teel
of Jackson, Tenn., officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Piperton
office, was in charge of arrangements. He leaves
his wife of 53 years, Genelle Bryan Teel; three daughters, Becky
Burchison (Ronnie) of Harmontown, Norma Shaw (Monty) of Laws Hill
Community, Gina Feathers (Grant) of Mt. Pleasant; a son, Wayne Teel
(Dianna) of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Lola Dickerson of Holly Springs;

Anita
“Cutch” Wyatt, 64, died Sept. 16, 2012, at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in
Southaven. After graduating from Sand Flat School (now known as H.W.
Byers), she moved to Chicago. She worked in the school system in the
city of Chicago for many years. Later, she moved to Michigan. In 2003,
she returned to the Early Grove area. She joined and became a member
and usher of the Ark of Safety in Red Banks. Services
were held at 12 noon on Sept. 22 at Concord Baptist Church in Slayden.
Pastor Bruce Williams officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

leaves six children, Anita Evon Wyatt of Harvey, Ill., Joseph Wyatt
(Brenda) of Olive Branch, Benjamin Terrell (Sherri) Wyatt of Harvey,
Ill., Queenester Wyatt of Bloomington, Ill, Solomon Wyatt of Harvey,
Ill., Loretta Naomi Wyatt of Byhalia; her mother, Cora Lee Briggs; four
brothers, Henry (Bettye) Briggs of Memphis, Tenn., Theodore (Deborah)
Briggs Jr. of Smyrna, Tenn., Ted (Carolyn) Briggs of Bartlett, Tenn.,
Victor (Connie) Briggs of Lamar; three sisters, Corine (Vinson Sr.)
McGowan of Southaven, Marilyn (William) Rankin-Polk of Shelby County,
Tenn., Brenda Briggs of Byhalia; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, James “Pete” Briggs. Pallbearers
were elder Joseph Wyatt Sr., Benjamin Wyatt Sr., Solomon Wyatt, Elliott
McGowan, Vincent McGowan Jr., Brandon Briggs, James Briggs Jr. and
Andre McClain. Honorary pallbearers were Victor Briggs, Henry Briggs,
Ted Briggs, Theodore Briggs Jr., William Polk, Mario Bailey and Ernest
Dortch.
