afternoon when Tennessee went up on Detroit 41-27 with 1:16 left. Good
friend Don Brooks and I thought we would hustle on toward the car and
try to beat some of the post-game traffic. We had a three-hour drive

Iuka’s where?
I took Meredith and Trey to a quilt
show with me this weekend. I don’t think they enjoyed it as much as I
did.
We left Friday afternoon and Meredith
wasn’t feeling well. She has, I guess, pre-ulcers maybe, and all that
was acting up. I made a mistake and gave her half a pain pill and she
promptly went to sleep. We didn’t hear a whole lot from her after that. Full Story

parents and grandparents pass away it is easy to lose touch with the
more extended family of their generation—second cousins and the like,
so I have been delighted to hear from some folks in that category
across generational lines. Saturday I drove up to
Jackson, Tenn., to see the wonderful train museum in the old Nashville,
Chattanooga, and St. Louis Railroad depot. It is owned and operated by

Letter to The Editor Let’s band together Dear Editor, Last
week’s edition posted a letter regarding the high utilities bills in
Holly Springs. Our bills have been running $700 plus for a few months
now, with nothing changing on our part. When
you cannot afford to keep on your lights, there is a serious issue. I
have looked and found a link to Jim Hood’s website. For those of you
who do not know, he is the attorney general of the state of
