City police go to 116 calls Holly Springs police officers responded to 116 calls last week, according to interim police chief Lt. John Norman. The
calls included – disturbances, 15; alarms, 14; larcenies, 1; accidents,
8; assists to agencies, 2; auto burglaries, 1; funeral escorts, 6;
domestics, 3; run-away juvenile, 1; 911 hang-ups, 2; and 63
miscellaneous calls. The dog catcher responded to nine calls. Police officers took the following reports: Monday, Sept. 10 • shoplifting in the 100 block of East College Avenue. • threat in the 1400 block of Highway 4 East. • threat in the 10 block of Hardaway Cove. • two shoplifting reports in the 900 block of Mackie Drive. Tuesday, Sept. 11 • harassment in the 900 block of Highway 311. • domestic violence/simple assault in the 100 block of West Woodward Avenue. • domestic violence/simple assault in the 700 block of Hudsonville Road. Wednesday, Sept. 12 • found property in the 100 block of North Memphis Street. • auto burglary in the 100 block of West College Avenue. • malicious mischief. Thursday, Sept. 13 • auto burglary in the 100 block of Heritage Drive. • contraband in a correctional facility in the 800 block of West Street. Friday, Sept. 14 • petit larceny in the area of Elder Avenue. • trespassing in the 100 block of Rust Avenue. Saturday, Sept. 15 • cyber pornography. Sunday, Sept. 16 • trespassing in the 300 block of West Street. • disturbing the peace in the 300 block of East Valley Avenue. • threat in the 200 block of Coleman Avenue. • domestic violence/simple assault in the 200 block of Bonner Street.
