Tenn.; great-grandparents, Ben W. Smith of Byhalia, Edna Hayes of
Southaven, William “Dude” Hayes of Holly Springs, Jacquelyn Snipes of

Jeremiah LeSueur Sr., 85, of Holly Springs, died Sept. 6, 2012, at
Alliance HealthCare System. He was a church pastor and member of
Tabernacle of Prayer Overcoming Church of God in Holly Springs, a World
War II Army veteran and a retired custodian with Wurlitzer Piano
Factory in Holly Springs. Services will be held
at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 15 at Miracle Temple Salt & Light Ministries
in Lamar. Burial will be in LeSueur Family Cemetery. Bishop L.T. Mason
will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements. Visitation is Friday, Sept. 14,
from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the the funeral home and from 6 p.m. to 8
p.m. at Tabernacle of Prayer Overcoming Church of God, Holly Springs;
also 1:30 p.m. to 2:25 p.m. Sept. 15 at the church. He
leaves his wife, Hazel Harden LeSueur; four daughters, Claudette Ivy of
Atlanta, Ga., Patricia Merriweather of Memphis, Tenn., Shirlean Pegues
of Holly Springs, Sharlean Finch of Los Angeles, Calif.; 11 sons,
Napolean LeSueur, Jeremiah LeSueur Jr., Jerome LeSueur, all of Holly
Springs, Nathaniel LeSueur, Fredrick LeSueur, Franklin LeSueur,
Reginald LeSueur, Corey LeSueur, all of Memphis, Carlton LeSueur of
Birmingham, Ala., Clinton LeSueur of Washington, D.C., Ronald LeSueur
of Atlanta; three sisters, Rose McFerren, Terry Pearl Clayton, Eula
Snow, all of St. Louis, Mo.; 43 grandchildren and 21
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Francis Leo LeSueur. Elizabeth McClatchy Elizabeth DeBerry McClatchy, 98, of Red Banks, died Sept. 8, 2012. She was the widow of Jack McClatchy. Visitation
will be on Sept. 15, 10-11 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11
a.m. in the Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Red
Banks Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home will be in charge of
arrangements. She leaves her daughter, Jane and
David Coker of College Park, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Sarah McClatchy of
Red Banks; brother Bert and Reba DeBerry of Anderson, S.C.;
grandchildren, Susan and Tommy Weathersby of Jackson, Randy and Sherri
McClatchy, Chuck and Pam McClatchy, John and Courtney McClatchy, all of
Red Banks, Kathy and Larry Harper of Zebulon, Ga., Robyn and Chris
Stewart of McDonough, Ga.; 12 great-grandchildren and several

Dorthey Jean Norman, 51, of Byhalia, died Aug. 28, 2012, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven. Services
were held at 12 noon on Sept. 8 at Byhalia Church of Christ. Bro.
Dewight Brownlee, pastor. Bro. James Miller, eulogist. Burial was in
Newell Chapel in Victoria. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements. She leaves four sons, Jerry L.

Potts Camp, Robert Norman Jr. of Fayetteville, N.C.; five brothers, Ben
Davis, Willie Davis, Tyrone Davis, all of Holly Springs, Robert Davis
of Jackson, Leon Davis of Louisiana; five sisters, Catherine Davis of
Holly Springs, Mattie Davis of Jackson, Unestine Gibbs (Herman) of
Olive Branch, Joyce Strickland (Johnny) of Ashland, Mary Davis of Blue
Mountain; and a special friend, Freddie Lee Wilson of Byhalia. She was
preceded in death by a daughter. Pallbearers were Antonio Richmond, DeVonta Norman, Tracy King, Soloman Coleman, Lamont King and Remarkco Sanders. Ione Blanton Shinault Ione
Blanton Shinault, 91, of Byhalia, died Sept. 4, 2012. She was the widow
of Sidney Shinault, who died in 2001. She was a member of the Byhalia
Garden Club, former state president of the American Legion Auxiliary
and volunteer at the V.A. Hospital. Services
were held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 6 at Byhalia United Methodist Church,
where she was a longtime member. Burial was in Byhalia Cemetery. She
leaves her children, Sid Shinault Jr. (Elaine) of Olive Branch, Annella
Szanyi of Byhalia, Joe Shinault of Byhalia, who was her caregiver,
Cecil Shinault (Becky) of Tell City, Ind., and Theresa London (Larry)
of Tupelo; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil “Red” Blanton and James Blanton; and a sister, Grace Burgess. In

“Jimmy” Dudley Thompson, 60, of Natchez, formerly of Holly Springs,
died Sept. 5, 2012, in Natchez. He was a general contractor. Services were held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 10 at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs. Burial was in Red Banks Cemetery. He
leaves a daughter, Joy Thompson Martinolich of Rhode Island; two sons,
Justin James Thompson, Joshua “Jonah” Thompson, both of New Orleans,
La.; his parents, James Augustus Thompson and Addie Tucker Thompson of
Natchez; two sisters, Natha Jean Thompson Jackson of Falkner, Judith
Thompson Weatherly of New Orleans; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Aubrey and Charles Thompson. Willie Olden West
Willie
Olden West, 89, of Holly Springs, died Sept. 3, 2012, at Trinity
Mission in Holly Springs. He was a Baptist, a carpenter and an Army
veteran of World War II. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 6 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Memphis Memory Garden. He
leaves his wife, Eara Inell West; a daughter, Linda Parker (Dave) of
Indialantic, Fla.; two sons, Royce West (Lisa) of Little Rock, Ark.,
Larry West (Janet) of Potts Camp; two sisters, Virginia Dedmon of
Brownsville, Tenn., Geraldine Jones of Hazel Green, Ala.; eight
granddaughters, three grandsons and 10 great-grandchildren. He was
