Rankin new head coach of Hawks

Chris Rankin got into coaching sort of by accident. When he did, he loved it and knew someday he wanted to be a head football coach.
This season the 36-year-old gets that opportunity. After two years as an assistant at Holly Springs High School, he is stepping up to the top job.
Marshall kicks off soccer season

Coach Lance McGregor enters a new Marshall Academy soccer season this week with seven sixth and seventh graders on a 13-player roster.

The XXX Olympiad opened in grand fashion England-style on Friday, July 27. And while it was grand, it definitely did not top the opening in Bejing four years ago. A couple of days later, the complaints started to surface, the more prevalent being the flap with the flame. Fans both domestic and foreign had questions about the “hiding” of the flame from the exterior of the opening venue. The flame could not be seen from the outside. American visitors said they had looked forward to taking candid snapshots of the flaming cauldron.
Deer hunting opportunities available for youth and handicapped hunters
Deer season is only a couple months away. Hunters are beginning to get deer hunting fever as they plan their hunts.
