Holly Springs police make six felony arrests Officers
with the Holly Springs Police Department responded to 108 calls last
week, according to interim police chief Lt. John Norman. Calls
included – disturbances, 12; alarms, 13; larcenies, 4; accidents, 2;
assists to agencies, 6; assaults, 3; funeral escorts, 6; burglaries, 3;
auto theft, 1; domestics, 2; checks on shut-ins, 1; 911 hang-ups, 1;
malicious mischief, 4; and 50 miscellaneous calls. The dog catcher
answered six calls. Officers took the following reports: Monday, July 23 • abandoned vehicle found missing its rear tires and rims in the parking lot at City Trends. Tuesday, July 24 • aggravated assault/possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in the 100 block of Slayden Street. • threat in the 300 block of Rolfing Road. • disturbance of a family in the 800 block of West Ridge Boulevard. • commercial burglary in the 200 block of North Memphis Street. • auto theft in the 100 block of North Memphis Street. • petit larceny in Smith Trailer Park. • simple assault on a correctional officer in the 800 block of West Street. Wednesday, July 25 • petit larceny in the 1100 block of Highway 311. Thursday, July 26 • phone harassment and obscenities over the phone in the 100 block of Beverly Lane. • grand larceny in the 1300 block of Highway 4 East. • threat in the 100 block of Greenbriar Circle. Friday, July 27 • threat in the 1300 block of West Woodward Avenue. Saturday, July 28 • disorderly conduct in the 500 block of Highway 7 North. Sunday, July 29 • attempted burglary in the 100 block of Ford Street. • malicious mischief in the 400 block of Craft Street. • simple assault on a correctional officer in the 800 block of West Street. • malicious mischief in the 200 block of North Memphis Street. • malicious mischief in the 400 block of Craft Street. • aggravated assault in the area of North Memphis Street and West Valley Avenue. • petit larceny in the 200 block of West Valley Street. Officers made the following six felony arrests, Norman said: • Quoderick Harris, 19, of the 300 block of Cuba Street, was arrested and charged with robbery. •
Jermaine Waller, 21, the 300 block of Oakwood Cove, was arrested and
charged with aggravated assault/possession of a firearm by a convicted
felon. • Thadeus Zinn Jr., 20, of the 800 block
of Rising Star Road, was arrested and charged with aggravated
assault/possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. •
Scott Price, 28, of CR 187 7E, Corinth, was arrested and charged with
driving while license suspended/seatbelt violation/felony conspiracy to
commit a crime. • Lashon Lyniece Berry, 30, of
the 1000 block of Wilkins Chapel Road, was arrested and charged with
domestic violence/aggravated assault. • Jimmy Lee
Perkins, 49, of the 300 block of West Boundary Street, was arrested on
a warrant from Indiana on charges of felony domestic violence and for
parole violation with MDOC. He was taken into custody by officers with
the Holly Springs Police Department Wednesday, July 25, at the
intersection of Chesterman Street and East College Avenue, Norman said. Officers
reported the following citations – speeding, 5; no proof of liability
insurance, 1; no/expired driver’s license, 1; careless driving, 1; and
loud music, 3. Officers made the following
arrests on misdemeanor charges – contempt of court, 5; disorderly
conduct, 1; driving while license suspended/no proof of liability
insurance/speeding, 1; and driving while license suspended/speeding, 1.
