John Danley is filled with enthusiasm – about his promotion and his 2012 football team. He
is moving up from assistant to head coach at Byhalia High School and
his roster, when the Indians kick off the season in August, will

Baseball camp begins Thursday The Marshall Academy baseball coaching staff is hosting a baseball camp June 7-8 for upcoming third through seventh graders. Hours are 8:30 a.m. until noon this Thursday and Friday, and the cost is $40 per camper. Full Story
Lester/Rice football camp slated for this weekend The second annual Lester/Rice Youth Football Camp will be held June 8-9 at Marshall Academy in Holly Springs. The camp is hosted by former Ole Miss Rebels Brian Lester and Eric Rice. Full Story

mentioning the contributions of individuals. On-scene commentators can
do it all the time. I must admit there are scores of names of reserve
players who I have never heard of who are rising from the bench and

Washington shifts to administration at Potts Camp By BARRY BURLESON Editor Markeith
Washington is looking forward to becoming a school administrator but
he’s also happy he will still be on the football field. The
former Byhalia High School head football coach will be a part of the
leadership team at Potts Camp High School, working with principal Leigh
Anne Sanderson and assistant principal Shane Stone. He will also be an
assistant football coach, working under Stone. Full Story

Ole Miss camps set The new Ole Miss women’s basketball coaching staff announces several camps this summer. Team
camp is set for June 10-11. It is open to varsity, junior varsity and
AAU teams. Cost is $125 per player overnight (includes meals and
housing) and $105 per player commuter (no housing). Individual
camp I is slated for June 11-13 and individual camp II June 18-20.
These are open to ages 8 through high school seniors. Cost for each is
$265 overnight or $225 commuter. An elite
position camp, for ages 14 through high school senior, will be held
June 25-26. Cost is $140 overnight or $120 commuter. Team shoot-out camp is slated for June 23. It is open to varsity, junior varsity and AAU teams. Cost is $225 per team.
