Holly Springs police officers go to 106 calls The Holly Springs Police Department responded to 106 calls for the week, according to interim chief Lt. John Norman. The
calls included the following – disturbances, 10; alarms, 17; larcenies,
1; accidents, 3; assists to agencies, 4; domestic, 3; assaults, 2;
funeral escorts, 6; burglaries, 1; 911 hang-ups 3; auto thefts, 1;
malicious mischief, 1; welfare checks, 3; and 51 miscellaneous calls.
The dog catcher answered eight calls. Officers took the following reports: Monday, May 21 • domestic disturbance of a family in the 500 block of Robindale Lane. • deceased subject, in the 200 block of Clara Avenue. • trespassing/simple assault in the 200 block of West Valley Avenue. Tuesday, May 22 • auto burglary in the 200 block of Craft Street. • counterfeit money in the 100 block of West College Avenue. • disturbance in the area of West College and Northwest Boundary. Wednesday, May 23 • domestic violence/simple assault in the Weaver Drive area. An arrest was made. Thursday, May 24 • domestic violence/simple assault in the West Valley Avenue area. • domestic disturbance of a family in the 300 block of West Street. • domestic violence/simple assault in the 600 block of West Street. Friday, May 25 • domestic violence/aggravated assault in the West Lake Drive area. An arrest was made. • domestic violence/simple assault in the 100 block of West Woodward Avenue. • grand larceny in the 200 block of West Valley Avenue. Saturday, May 26 • stalking in the 200 block of North Randall Drive. Charges were filed. Sunday, May 27 • domestic violence/aggravated assault in the 600 block of Swaney Drive. An arrest was made. • domestic violence/simple assault in the Heritage Drive area. Charges were filed. • attempted burglary in the 900 block of Highway 7 South. • simple assault in the 800 block of Ridge Avenue. Police arrested three suspects on felony charges. Bernie
Byers Jr., 20, of the 400 block of Waites Road, Potts Camp, was
arrested and charged with domestic violence/aggravated assault, Norman
said. Cameshia V, Jenkins, 20, of the 500 block
of Robindale Lane, was arrested and charged with domestic
violence/aggravated assault, Norman said. Trynoter
Raimey, 25, of the 600 block of Swaney Drive, was arrested and charged
with domestic violence/aggravated assault, Norman said. Officers
reported the following citations – disregard for traffic device, 2; no
proof of liability insurance, 9; improper parking (fire lane), 1;
driving while license suspended, 1; improper passing, 1; driving with
no headlights, 1. Officers reported the following
misdemeanor arrests – contempt of court, 1; possession of marijuana in
a motor vehicle/driving while license suspended/implied consent, 1;
driving while license suspended, 1; driving while license
suspended/DUI, 1; DUI 1st, 1; simple assault/contempt of
court/no/expired driver’s license, 1; disorderly conduct, 1; exhibiting
a firearm, 1; and possession of marijuana, 1 juvenile arrest.
