was really amazed when our youngest granddaughter came home not too
long ago and said, “I tried out for the talent show at school today.”
She’s one of “those” who you never dream of doing anything on stage in
public. She’s a very private person. I was
surprised she didn’t drop out and went to rehearsals instead. I was
surprised that we were supposed to attend dress rehearsal and watch her
and she actually went on stage and performed. Man, she belted “The

leave the farm I travel down a long driveway, over the levee, and
through the prairie grass. Outside the farm gate I have the option to
turn left and travel a maintained state road or turn right and meander
