Onie Daniels, 82, of Jackson, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died
May 3, 2012, at Forest Cove Nursing Home in Jackson. She was the widow
of Cliff (DC) Daniels, a Baptist and a seamstress. Services
were held at 1 p.m. on May 5 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Temperance Hill Cemetery. Bro. Jimmy Wilbanks officiated. She
leaves a son, Dennis Clifton Daniels of Jackson; a daughter, Dani

Patricia
“Pat” Ann Diggs Farley, 61, of Mt. Pleasant, died May 2, 2012, at her
home. She was the widow of William Ray “Bill” Farley. She was employed
in the Fayette County Property Tax Assessor’s office. She was a member
of the Pleasants Christian Church near Rossville, Tenn., and a former
resident of Fayette County and Henderson County, Tenn., before moving
to the Mt. Pleasant community. Services were
held at 1 p.m. on May 4 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in
Somerville, Tenn. Burial was in the New Bethel Cemetery near Rossville.
Pastor Doug Bell of CrossPointe Christian Fellowship in Olive Branch
officiated. Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center,
Main Chapel of Somerville, was in charge of arrangements. She
leaves two daughters, Kelly Cothern (Brent) of Mt. Pleasant, Amy Byrd
(Adam) of Lamar; a son, Scott Farley (Jennifer) of Olive Branch; her
mother, Sallie Rhea Diggs of Williston; three sisters, Linda McCaskill
of Somerville, Anita Flanagan of Williston, Beverly German of
Williston; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie Diggs. Pallbearers were Hardy Flanagan, Tommy McCaskill, Alan German, Wylie Flanagan, Will Diggs and Rockie Ellison. Nolean Steele Faulkner III Nolean Steele Faulkner III, 37, of Myrtle, died May 5, 2012, at his home. He was a flooring installer. Services will be held at a later date. Freeman Glasper, 69, of Baton Rouge, La., formerly of Holly Springs,
died April 26, 2012. She was retired from Seventh Ward General Hospital
after 17 years of services as a purchasing agent. Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 4 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. She
leaves her daughter, Veronica Freeman of Baton Rouge; two nephews whom
she reared, Kenneth (Tamara) Freeman of Ponchatoula, La., Kelvin
Freeman, Charlotte, N.C.; three sisters, Lois Freeman of Holly Springs,
Barbara (James) Rayford of Holly Springs, Margaret Brown of Memphis,
Tenn.; five brothers, Henry (Catherine) Freeman of St. Louis, Mo.,
Bernard (Beatrice) Freeman of Anchorage, Alaska, Leroy (Erma) Freeman
of Atlanta, Ga., Herbert Freeman of Memphis, Tenn., Charles (Patricia);
and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, John E. Freeman. Jasmine Janae Humphery
Jasmine Janae Humphery, 16, died April 25, 2012. She was a member of Wilkins Chapel CME Church. Services
were held at 11 a.m. on May 5 at New Dimensions Salt & Light Church
in Holly Springs. Minister Tracy Jeffries officiated. Pastor O. Allen,
host pastor. Burial was in Wilkins Chapel CME Church Cemetery. Serenity

Louise Kean, 86, of Collierville, Tenn., died May 1, 2012, at Dove
Health and Rehab in Collierville. She was the widow of William Kean.
She was a Baptist and a receiving clerk. Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 3 at Collierville Baptist Church. Burial was in Forest Hill - Midtown in Memphis, Tenn. She
leaves a daughter, Mary Beebe; three sisters, Syble Harmon of Aberdeen,

Mackey, 96, of Memphis, Tenn., died May 2, 2012, at Baptist East
Hospital in Memphis. She was a member and financial secretary of
Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis. Services were

H. McAlexander, 60, of Holly Springs, died May 2, 2012, at Baptist
DeSoto Hospital. She was an active member of the First United Methodist
Church and the first person to receive formal recognition for her
untiring work and outstanding dedication. She taught Sunday school, was
chairman of the Council on Ministries for a number of years, helped to
start the Mother’s Day Out and Preschool programs and a longtime member
of the church choir and accomplished soloist. She was also an
enthusiastic supporter of the National Bird Dog Field Trial
Championship at Ames Plantation in Grand Junction, Tenn. Above all, she
was a passionate and much-loved teacher at Marshall Academy for more
than 20 years and a selfless volunteer for numerous efforts throughout
the community. Services were held at 10 a.m. on
May 5 at First United Methodist Church. Burial was in Hill Crest
Cemetery. Rev. Doyle Mitchell and Rev. Milton Whatley officiated. Holly

leaves her husband, Bobby McAlexander; three sons, Joey McAlexander

Tenn. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Ester Salvaggio. Virginia Coleen Nance Scherff Virginia
Coleen Nance Scherff, 75, died May 4, 2012. She was born in Ripley and
spent most of her adult life in Holly Springs. She was the widow of
Rev. Montie Glenn Scherff, her husband of more than 57 years. Services
were held at 2 p.m. on May 8 at Evangel Full Gospel Church in Holly
