Close to Nowhere By Linda Jones “0-16” in a weekend I
have a new great-great-niece! Evangeline Ailey was born Friday. She’s
the first granddaughter for my niece Sister (Dawn) and the excitement
has been palpable! My great-nephew Blake and
Sarah have been expecting Evy for the required nine months. It’s flown
by for me. Not for Sister or Sarah though. Sister’s suffered almost as
much as Sarah. Full Story

Wyatt’s World By Wyatt Emmerich I have seen many burning bushes We were sitting around the dinner table going through the usual conversation routines. “So how was your day?” wife Ginny asked. Letter To The Editor City workers: Dear Editor, To Mayor Andre’ DeBerry: I
am so disappointed in you concerning the city employees. We the people
of Holly Springs are in the 7,000 or more population; that is many more
than the five on the board. I see our city
workers doing their job for the people and doing a fine job, and it
hurts me for you to say they work at the will and the pleasure of the
board as if the people of Holly Springs do not matter. What you do in the board meeting is your business. But
let’s give honor to our city workers doing their job to take care of
the people of Holly Springs and not just the five on the board. Mary Britnell
