Potts Camp Lady Cardinals hosted a Region 2-2A game against Calhoun
City on Monday, April 2. This was the Lady Cards’ second time to meet

was crowned king of the men’s collegiate basketball world Monday
evening of last week, and discounting the negative publicity created by
a revelry which apparently got out of hand, the achievement pleased
many and surprised some. For the third year head coach of the very
young Wildcat team (which started three freshmen and two sophomores),
John Calipari, it was complete vindication for a career which had been

The
Killer Kudzu 5K, a Holly Springs Pilgrimage event, will begin at 9 a.m.
Saturday, April 14, on the courthouse square. Some runners in last
year’s race are pictured making their way along Salem Avenue. A big
turnout is expected Saturday as the race coincides with the 74th annual

Rodeo set for Saturday at Barton A Deep South Championship Rodeo will be held in Barton on Saturday, April 14. The big event, produced by J Bar B Rodeo Co., begins at 8 p.m. at the Robert Rainey Jr. Memorial Arena, 928 Quinn Road. Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $6 for children, and ages 3 and under free. Summer camp begins June 4 A youth summer camp
will be held June 4 to July 6 at the Eddie Smith Multi-Purpose Building
in Holly Springs. The camp, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., is for ages 6
through 13. Registration fee, to be paid at city hall, is $50.
