and Country Garden Club of Holly Springs. Services

Glover Turnage, 86, of Aurora, Ill., formerly of Holly Springs, died
Feb. 12, 2012. She was the widow of Josephus Turnage. She was a member
of Mt. Teamer CME Church. Services were held at
11 a.m. on Feb. 18 at Greater Love MB Church. Rev. John Nabors

leaves five sons, James (Zelma), Raymond (Toni), Joe, Hubert (Mary),

16, 2012, at Kindred Chicago Central Hospital in Chicago. He was a
graduate of Potts Camp High School, University of Memphis, a member of
Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Memphis, Tenn., and a film maker,
business owner of Pit Stop Productions. Services
were held on March 23 at Springhill MB Church in Waterford. Burial was

Mae Hamer Washington, 73, of Ashland, died March 19, 2012, at Baptist
Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. She was a member of Harris Chapel MB
Church in Ashland, first lady of Upper Salem MB Church, Mississippi
Education Association, Who’s Who Among American Teachers, NAACP Life
Member and a retired school teacher with Benton County Schools. Services
were held at 2 p.m. on March 25 at Ashland High School gymnasium.
Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden in Holly Springs. Rev. Martin L.

Ashland, Linda (Phillip) Iweze of Columbia, Mo.; 19 grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children, Sharon Price and Joey Price.
