Killer Kudzu April 14 The Killer Kudzu 5K, a Holly Springs Pilgrimage event, will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 14. The USA Track and Field certified course is a challenging one in the downtown Holly Springs area – including a hill through the historic Hill Crest cemetery. Prize money will be awarded for the men’s and women’s top finishers – first place, $300; second place, $200; and third place, $100. Plus, trophies will be awarded for overall masters and grandmasters winners and the top three places in each age group. There is also a costume contest this year with $50 and Pilgrimage tickets awarded to the runner or walker with the best historical or kudzu-themed costume.
