Thieves hit churches By SUE WATSON
Four church burglaries within about a 15-mile radius of each other in the last two weeks have law enforcement seeking tips that will develop suspects. Sheriff Kenny Dickerson set up a news conference at Apostolic Lighthouse Church Tuesday morning after the pastor reported a day earlier that the church was robbed.
City to extend gas main By SUE WATSON There will be a lot of construction work going on soon from Highway 178 East to the 78 bypass when a large natural gas line is extended to the Rogers Asphalt Plant. Rubbish pit passes Solid Waste Board By SUE WATSON A proposed Class I rubbish site in the Chickasaw Trail Industrial Park passed the Marshall County Solid Waste Authority Board and awaits the outcome of a vote by the board of supervisors. The next step will be a public hearing to see how the citizens think on this proposal before it would be passed along to the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality for review. FFA thriving at Potts Camp By SUE WATSON
February 18-25 was National FFA Week. It was celebrated at Potts Camp High School with an inspirational program put on by state and national FFA Association members. The group did exercises that helped students understand and remember key FFA concepts. The team concept was illustrated by forming a human table activity. Holly High technology grant comes from Vernier Software An article on a technology grant for math and sciences awarded to the Holly Springs School District failed to mention the company that provided the equipment.
