Holly High technology grant comes from Vernier Software An article on a technology grant for math and sciences awarded to the Holly Springs School District failed to mention the company that provided the equipment. It was a $10,000 technology grant from Vernier Software and Technology, a premier manufacturer and distributor of sensors, data loggers/interfaces, software and accessories for educational science laboratories. In its application to Vernier, the school requested the following supplies and equipment – accelerometer probe; range force sensor probe; gas pressure sensor probe; light sensorLS probe; motion detector probe; oxygen gas sensor probe; pH sensor probe; stainless steel temperature probe; wide range temperature probe; rotary motion sensor probe; photogate; conductivity probe; Vernier dynamics system hardware; LabQuest hardware; LabQuest charging station hardware; Logger Pro software; and books – math lab book; real world math with computer; chemistry lab book; physics w/Vernier; physics w/video analysis. |
