Patterson “Sonny” Childers, 64, of Ashland, died Dec. 27, 2011, at
Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo. He was a member of First United Methodist
Church in Batesville. He was a member and president of the Ashland
Civic Club and served as president of the Benton County Fair
Association for 30 years. Services were held at

Lee Crittle III, 28, of Holly Springs, died Dec. 24, 2011, in Memphis,
Tenn. He was a member of Rising Star MB Church and an H-VAC technician
with Trinity Lakes Apartment Complex in Memphis. Services

Ash Mitchell, 90, of Holly Springs, died Dec. 31, 2011, at Alliance
Healthcare System in Holly Springs. She was the widow of Wilfred Ash,
20 years; and Junior Mitchell, 20 years. A member of First United
Methodist Church in Holly Springs, she was the former owner/operator of

Winter Overstreet, 87, died Dec. 17, 2011, at Trinity Mission Health
and Rehab. The widow of Joe William Overstreet Sr., she was retired as
recruiting coordinator at the University of Mississippi placement
department. She was an active member and former secretary of First
Baptist Church of Oxford, where she served as a third grade Sunday
school director for 40 years. She was a member of the Oxford Pilot Club
and the Oxford Squares. Services were held at 11
a.m. on Dec. 19 at First Baptist Church. Burial was in Oxford Memorial
