Albert Lewis Delbridge
Albert
Lewis “Bubba” Delbridge, 77, of Holly Springs, died Tuesday, Feb. 22,
2011, at his home. He was the widow of Gussie Mae Wheeler Delbridge. He
was a member of Spring Hill MB Church in Waterford, a member of the
deacon board and a retired construction worker.
Services
were held at 3 p.m. on Feb. 27 at New Dimension Salt & Light
Ministries. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Willie Hoey
officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
He leaves five daughters, Karen
Jeffries of Ashland, Gussie Delbridge, Diane Delbridge, both of
Detroit, Mich., Brenda James, Gloria Jeffries, both of Holly Springs;
three sons, Mychal O. Jeffries of Holly Springs, Hubert Donell
Delbridge of Detroit, Anthony Gatewood of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister,
Selena Booker of West Memphis, Ark.; and 47 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a
son, Herbert Delbridge.
Shelia Sue Peyton
Shelia
Sue Peyton, 63, of Olive Branch, died Feb. 21, 2011, at Baptist DeSoto
Hospital in Southaven. She retired from Milwaukee Electric in Olive
Branch. She was Baptist.
Graveside services
were held at 10 a.m. on Feb. 24 at Lebanon Cemetery in Olive Branch.
Brantley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her mother, Flossie
Peyton; and numerous family members.
James Willis Richmond
James
Willis Richmond, 58, of Aurora, Ill., formerly of Holly Springs, died
Feb. 19, 2011, at Provena Mercy Center in Aurora. He was a member of
Antioch MB Church in Byhalia and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Services
will be held at 11 a.m. on March 3, at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral
Home Chapel with burial in McCraven Cemetery in Victoria. Rev. Raymond
Hamilton will officiate.
He leaves his fiancee,
Isabelle L. Porebski of Aurora; two sisters, Willie Jean Lucas, Ella
Richmond, both of Memphis, Tenn.; and three brothers, Quinton Richmond
of Olive Branch, Richard Richmond, Percy Richmond, both of Memphis.
Jewell Frances Skelton
Jewell
Frances “Sissy” Skelton, 83, of Lamar, died Feb. 28, 2011, at Tippah
County Hospital in Ripley. She was a Methodist, a member of Rice Chapel
and an assembly line worker with Troxel for more than 30 years.
Services
will be held at 2 p.m. on March 2 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Rice Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Walter Myers will
officiate.
She leaves nieces and nephews,
Bekki
Shaw (Wayne), Phil Skelton (Terri); great-nieces and great-nephews
Kevin Shaw, Justin Shaw, Brittny Skelton, Heather Skelton; and
great-great-nieces, Morgan and Lani Shaw.
She was preceded in death by a
brother, Elbert “Buddy” Skelton Jr.

Lynn Taylor, 58, of Sardis, died Feb. 27, 2011, at his home. He was a
member of Temperance Hill Baptist Church and an auto salesman.

were held at 11 a.m. on March 2 at Holly Springs Funeral Home. Burial
was in Temperance Hill Cemetery in Potts Camp. Bro. Kevin Crawford
officiated.
He leaves two daughters, Laken

Ricky Taylor of Hickory Flat.
