Rossville hires coach | | Johnny Allen |
Rossville Christian Academy announces the hiring of Johnny Allen as the school’s new head football coach. Allen
is currently the defensive coordinator at Briarcrest Christian. Prior
to his stint at BCS he served in the same capacity at White Station.
Allen follows Perry Bailey, who will continue at RCA in his duties of
athletic director and varsity basketball coach. Major Wright, head coach at Briarcrest, believes Allen will have great success at RCA. “Rossville
Christian is getting a strong Christian man who operates solely on the
principles found in the Bible,” Wright said. “His role in the success
we have had at White Station and BCS has been immense. He has been in
charge of all defensive and special teams duties in the past due to my
level of trust and confidence in him.” Allen is already planning for the upcoming season and the future of RCA football. “My
family and I are excited about being a part of the RCA family,” he
said. “I am looking forward to the opportunity in building
relationships with my players and coaches, and excited about
establishing a community that will accomplish our goals as one. I have
been very fortunate to be a part of some successful football programs
the past 10 years, and will draw upon those experiences in developing
the future.” Mike Coggins, headmaster at RCA,
said, “We feel that after a very thorough search process that God has
sent us the man to run our football program. I expect Coach Allen to be
a positive influence in all facets of our school.” Coach Allen and his wife Amy have two children, Quinn and Elizabeth. |
