February 24

• Relay for life Marshall County Relay for Life will meet Thursday, February 24, at 5:15 p.m. for team captains at the county library. Please, we need all team captains to be present and make sure your team is registered. If you cannot come please make sure you send one of your team members. We have very important information to share with you. The committee will meet the same evening at 6:15.

February 25

• A NIGHT OF PRAISE will be held at New Dimension, 7 p.m. with the Rust College BSU Choir , recording artist James Ramsey of Oxford, Salt & Light Minister of Music, Bro. Darrel Mason and Kendrick King and New Dimension Praise Team. Special guest MC will be Eloise McClinton, executive director of ICS.

February 26

• Singing Rice Chapel Methodist Church, Hwy. 72, will have singing on Feb. 26, with Bro. Marvin Morrow. Fellowship at 6 p.m., singing at 7. Everyone is invited. Pastor, Bro. Walter Myers.

• Class meeting W.T. Sims High School Class of 1967 will meet Sat., Feb. 26, 3 p.m. at Pizza Hut, Hwy. 7 S. Important, please attend. James Alford, chairman.

• MARDI GRAS CELEBRATION St. Joseph Church will hold its annual Mardi Gras Celebration which will include a potluck meal, games and entertainment. The celebration will begin after the 4 p.m. Mass.

• SINGING The Kennedy Family of Houston will be the featured guest singers at Evangel Full Gospel Assembly, 7 p.m.

• MINISTRY OF SHARING will be held at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 3193 Marianna Road, 10 a.m.-2 pm. We will have clothing, shoes, housewares, toys and lots of other items that you may select at no charge. This project benefits Little Miss Morgan Lester. • Youth day The Mt. Sinai COGIC, of Mt. Pleasant, will have their annual Youth Day Program at 2:30 p.m. Special guests will be Pastor Thomas Trent and the Rehoboth Urban Outreach Ministries of Memphis, Tenn. Everyone is invited. Pastor is Curtis Pritchard Sr.

• BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM will be held at Free Branch MB Church, 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be Pastor Tyrone Miller. J.L. Tunstall is pastor.

• BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM will be held at Hebron Chapel CME Church, 2 p.m. The theme is “Out of Bondage.” The guest speaker will be Minister Jonathan Toles of The New Nonconnah Baptist Church of Memphis, Tenn. Sponsor is Lillian Cochran Smith. Pastor is Marco Finley.

• singing Watson Community Church on Sun., Feb. 27 at 5 p.m., featuring Veronica C. Raney, church’s local talent and all are welcome to come and participate.

• Fellowship luncheon Victoria United Methodist Church, Victoria, will hold a fellowship luncheon in the fellowship hall, after church service on Sun., Feb. 27. Please join us for service at 11 a.m. or just come for lunch at 12 noon.

• Friends of THE Library will meet at the Marshall County Library in Holly Springs, 11:30 a.m. The program will be given by Mrs. Lockhart from Byhalia on “scrimshaw” at 12 noon.

• Women’s month Christ Temple COGIC will celebrate Women’s Month with services each Friday night in March, 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend as women minister through song and teaching. Supt. Albert Pass, pastor. Church is located at 210 W. Park Ave., Holly Springs.

• Singing Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church on March 5, at 7 p.m. featuring the Williams Family. Located on Cayce Rd., a half mile south of Goodman Rd. Pastor Billy Watkins invites everyone.

• Recovery Meeting SOS Christian Recovery Ministries will host a group meeting Friday evenings at 6 p.m. The group’s primary focus is drug addiction, alcoholism and the affected families. There will be a group for family members to learn how to cope and heal from the destructive behavior of an addict or an alcoholic in the family.
