long-standing rivalry and Senior Night for the Holly High squads.

Lady Hawks were not too shabby in the first period, being down by only

MA girls, boys take second, advance By BARRY BURLESON Editor Marshall
Academy basketball teams, who went unbeaten in District 1-AA regular
season play, settled for second place in the post-season tournament. The
Lady Patriots fell to Kirk Academy in the district championship game
and the Patriots lost to West Memphis Christian. Their season marks
went to 21-12 and 24-7, respectively. Full Story

Lady Lions and Lions swept Ingomar and West Union last week in Region
2-1A play. They are the number one and number three seeds,
respectively, in this week’s tournament at Myrtle. Full Story
BSA plans registration Byhalia Sports
Association will hold registration for spring and summer T-ball,
baseball, and softball on Saturday, Feb. 12, and Saturday, Feb. 26,
from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Byhalia Town Hall. Again
this year there will be a special age group for 3- and 4-year-old
children. BSA has teams for softball ages 5-16 with a 5-6 girls
softball team and baseball ages 5-15. No
previous experience is necessary. The program is open to all children
