The Potts Camp Lady Cardinals are playing in the O-Town Showdown at Oxford this week. They will face Lafayette Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 4 p.m., and Independence Thursday, Dec. 29, at 1 p.m.
Both Holly High squads participated in the Alcorn Central Holiday Hoops Tournament Tuesday of this week – the boys battled Cordova (Tenn.) and the girls met Tupelo Christian Preparatory School.

The Holly High teams will then invade county rival H.W. Byers this Friday night, Dec. 30.
“Our defense is not as solid as I want it to be,” said Naylond Hayes, head coach of the Hawks, who are 11-3. “We have some new people, and we’re still trying to get it together.”
Holly High’s first district game is Friday, Jan. 13, at home versus Belmont.
