City police go to 76 calls • Officers also make four felony arrests Holly Springs police officers answered 76 calls for the week, according to interim chief John Norman. They
included the following categories – disturbances, 6; funerals, 3;
alarms, 11; larcenies, 5; accidents, 6; burglaries, 5; assist to
agencies, 2; domestics, 3; 911 hang-ups, 4; and miscellaneous, 4. The
dog catcher answered 13 calls. Police filed the following reports. Monday, Dec. 12 •
a petit larceny in the 300 block of West Valley Avenue. Offenders were
apprehended within about two hours due to an observant resident and
diligence by officers. Tuesday, Dec. 13 • commercial burglary in the 400 block of Highway 178. • residential burglary in the 200 block of East College. Wednesday, Dec. 14 • identity theft in the 600 block of Craft Street. • attempted commercial burglary in the 200 block of Southeast Boundary Street. • grand larceny in the 100 block of Rust Avenue. • identity theft in the 300 block of Cherry Place. Thursday, Dec. 15 • grand larceny in the 100 block of North Walthall Street. Friday, Dec. 16 • grand larceny in the 100 block of North Walthall Street. • identity theft in the 800 block of Rising Star Road. Saturday, Dec. 17 • shoplifting in the 100 block of West Van Dorn. • harassment in the 200 block of West Street. Sunday, Dec. 18 • child abuse in the 200 block of West Woodward Avenue. The following felony arrests were made, according to Norman: • Joshua McIntyre, 30, of Bonner Street, charged with receiving stolen property. • Walter Crum, 47, of the 1000 block of Highway 7 North, charged with residential burglary. • Lemarcus Kimmons, 24, of the 300 block of North Walthall Street, charged with residential burglary. • Johnny Kimmons, 43, of the 100 block of Shadow Lane, charged with residential burglary. Officers
reported the following citations: no proof of insurance, 9; disregard
for traffic device, 1; no tag/expired tag, 4; no/expired driver’s
license, 1; speeding, 2; driving while license suspended, 2; loud
music, 2; open container in vehicle, 1, and other, 1. Officers
made the following misdemeanor arrests – driving while license
suspended, 1; contempt, 2; discharge of a firearm, 1; leaving the scene
of an accident, 1; possession of marijuana in a vehicle, 1;
shoplifting, 1; disorderly conduct, 1; and domestic violence/simple
assault, 1.
