Dorothy Lee
Jones Bonds, 54, of Florence, Ala., formerly of Holly Springs, died
Nov. 17, 2011, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence. She was a
member of Light House Ministries in Florence and a former member of
Strawberry MB Church in Holly Springs. She was a member of the
Lauderdale County Teachers Association. She taught school at Central
High School in Florence. Services were held at
1 p.m. on Nov. 23 at Rust College Doxey Auditorium with burial in
Cottrell Memorial Garden in Holly Springs. Rev. Arthur Fitzpatrick
officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements. She leaves her husband Andrew Gene
Bonds of Florence; three sons, Calvin Bonds of Baton Rouge, La., Andrew
Gene Bonds Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., Edgar L. Bonds of Florence; six
sisters, Anna Jones, Shirley Mayfield, Elizabeth King, Deborah Jones,
all of Holly Springs, Lois Bean of New Mexico, Queen Drake of
Springfield, Ill.; two brothers, James Jones of Holly Springs and
Jeffries Jones of New Mexico; and eight grandchildren. Sylvia Ann Bruce Sylvia Ann Bruce, 61, of Holly Springs, died Nov. 15, 2011, at her home. Services
were held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 18 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she
was a member. Burial was in the Church Cemetery. Bro. Chas Williams and
Bro. Don Wilson officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements. She leaves her mother, Willie H.
Boone of Holly Springs; her son, Donald Wesley Bruce of Holly Springs;
three brothers, Richard L. Boone of Athens, Ga., Joe Boone of Ashland,
D.D. Boone of Horn Lake; her sister, Sarah Rynders of Mooringsport,

“West” Craine, 63, died at his home Nov. 14, 2011. He ws a member of
Free Branch MB Church, the male chorus. He was retired from the Holly
Springs Sanitation Department. Services were at
11 a.m. on Nov. 19 at Free Branch MB Church. Rev. Joe Tunstall
officiated. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. He
leaves a son, Terry Craine; three children whom he nurtured, Earnest
Sanderson Jr., Teresa Hamilton, Gloria (Patrick) Bailey, of Holly
Springs; his father, Agripper Craine; three sisters, Eliza Craine,
Annie Milan and Deborah Craine, all of Byhalia; four brothers, Eyrice,
Jasper, Edward and Maurice Craine, all of Byhalia; and two
grandchildren. Pallbearers were Eyrice Craine, Jasper Craine, Edward Craine and Maurice Craine. Janice Davis Janice
Davis, 56, of Mooreville, died Nov. 20, 2011 at North MS Medical Center
in Tupelo. The widow of David Bramlitt, she was a native of New Albany. Services will be held at a later date. Serenity Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She
leaves a son, Broc Tyler Davis of Mooreville; and siblings, Betty Fitch
of Holly Springs, Freddie (Lavelle) Hancock, William (Patricia) Hancock
of Myrtle, Bobby (Darlene) Hancock of New Albany, James (Bonnie)
Hancock of Malden, Mo., Jimmy (Carolyn) Hancock and Gilbert (Sue)
Hancock of Warrenton, Mo. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Wood. Paulette Simmons Gulledge

Simmons Gulledge, 60, of Red Banks, died Nov. 16, 2011 at Baptist
Hospital in Collierville, Tenn. She was a member of Land Mark Temple in
Holly Springs. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Nov. 25 from 2-6 p.m. and at the church on Nov. 26 from 9-9:55 a.m. Services
will be held at Maranatha Faith Temple in Memphis, Tenn. at 10 a.m. on
Nov. 26 with burial in the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Nov. 28
at 10 a.m. Elder Duane Collins will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son

leaves her husband Willie Gulledge of Red Banks; two sons, Andre Dujuan
Gulledge of Detroit, Mich., Myron Jerrod Gulledge of Red Banks; three
sisters, Susan Smith of Ohio, Pamela Reaves of Ann Arbor, Mich., Joslyn
Bush of Detroit, Mich.; two brothers, Bruce Simmons of Germany, Harold

Snow, 69, of Holly Springs, died Nov. 19, 2011 at Trinity Mission
Health and Rehab in Holly Springs. A member of Gatewood MB Church in
Hudsonville, he was a factory worker at Craig Lumber Co. in
Collierville, Tenn. Visititation will be held Nov. 23, 2-5 pm. and continue at the church on Nov. 25, from 10-10:55 a.m. Services
will be held at Land Mark Temple of Jesus Christ in Holly Springs at 11
a.m. on Nov. 25, with burial in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Pastor Duane
Collins will offidicate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements. He leaves his wife,
Pearlie Anderson Snow of Marked Tree, Ark.; two sons, Phellep Antwain
Snow of Las Vegas, Nev., Kelsey Donell Snow of Marked Tree; a daughter,
Reshonda Evette Snow of Marked Tree; his mother, Lillian Moore Bailey
of Slayden; and a granddaughter.
