Holly Springs police arrest three on felony charges Holly Springs police officers responded to 109 calls last week, according to interim chief John Norman. The
calls included – disturbances, 7; funerals, 2; alarms, 27; larcenies,
2; accidents, 6; burglaries, 3; assaults, 3; assists to agencies, 5;
malicious mischief, 4; domestics, 2; 911 hang-ups, 3; shots fired, 1;
and 44 miscellaneous calls. The dog catcher answered five calls. Officers took the following reports: Monday, Oct. 31 • malicious mischief in the 800 block of West Street. • counterfeit money in the 600 block of Highway 7 South. • lost debit card in 100 block of Shadow Lane. • telephone harassment on Clarice Drive. • grand larceny in the 500 block of Craft Street. Tuesday, Nov. 1 • counterfeit money in the 600 block of Highway 7 South. • domestic violence/simple assault in the 100 block of West Elder Street. • commercial burglary in the 100 block of West College Avenue. Wednesday, Nov. 2 • counterfeit money in the 100 block of West Van Dorn and in the 900 block of Mackie Drive. • theft of utilities in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Drive. • telephone harassment in the 200 block of North Randolph Street. • shoplifting in the 900 block of Mackie Drive. • simple assault in the 100 block of Rust Avenue. • simple assault/trespassing/disturbing the peace in the 100 block of Rust Avenue. • malicious mischief in the 100 block of East College Avenue. Thursday, Nov. 3 • malicious mischief in the 500 block of West College. • grand larceny in the 400 block of Center Street. Friday, Nov. 4 • aggravated assault in the area of North Center Street. • auto burglary in the 100 block of North Memphis Street. • counterfeit money in the 600 block of Highway 7 South. • telephone harassment in the 500 block of East Old Hudsonville Road. Saturday, Nov. 5 • residential burglary in the 200 block of West Park Avenue. • residential burglary in the 500 block of Highway 7 North. Officers made three felony arrests. Floyd
Collins, 21, of the 4800 block of Highway 178 East, was arrested and
charged with kidnapping/domestic violence/simple assault, Norman said. Ralph Moreing, 48, of the 300 block of Yarbrough Chapel Road, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, the chief said. Randy Jones, 40, of the 400 block of Gordon Drive, was arrested and charged with residential burglary, Norman said. Officers
reported the following citations – speeding, 10; no proof of liability
insurance, 7; disregard for traffic device, 3; careless driving, 1;
seatbelt violation, 1; no/expired tag, 1; open container, 1; other
