• MEETING The November meeting of the board of trustees of the Holly Springs School District has been scheduled for 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the HSHS library, 165 N. Walthall Street.

November 10

• GED Do you need your GED to get a job or go to college? Classes are offered at Catholic Social Services on Tuesday and Thursday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Let us help you get that job or go to college. We are located behind St. Joseph Catholic Church. Call 252-1336 for more information.

• Meeting The Lessye Lee Davis 4-H Club will meet at the Marshall County Library, 6 p.m. New members are always welcome. We are sewing and crocheting this week.

• Veterans program Ida B. Wells-Barnett Museum hosts Veterans Day Program at The United Center, Hwy. 7 South/Craft Street, 7 p.m.

• Republican MEETING The Marshall Republican Club will meet, Sat., 10 a.m. at the Marshall County Library in Holly Springs. The public is invited.

November 12

• MEETING Free Branch M.B. Church will host the Baptist Ministerial Alliance meeting at 9 a.m. The community is invited. Pastor is J.L. Tunstall.

• Singing New Hope Baptist Church, Hwy 72 and Valentine Road, Slayden, Saturday night, Nov. 12 starting at 7 p.m. Featured group will be The Barnett’s from Stanton, Tenn. Fellowship supper after the singing. Bro. Billy Adair and congregation invite everyone to attend.

• A Mentoring Brunch for young men and boys, ages 14 and up, will be held at Pleasant Hill CME Church, 10:30 a.m. Guest speaker will be Bro. Albert Josiah from Memphis, Tenn. Pastor Willie Hoey invites everyone.

• A BENEFIT PROGRAM for Robert James Tucker, who recently had triple bypass will be held at Mighty God Ministry M.B. Church, 219 Valley View, Dr., Victoria, 6 p.m. All surrounding churches, choirs, male choruses and solo singers are invited. Pastor Marvin Brooks invites all.

• Rummage sale, Watson Fire Dept., Sat., Nov. 12, 8-2 p.m. Rain or shine! Stuff your bag free Sat. The proceeds go to the Watson Fire Dept. Building Fund. We are still in the same place, 121 Watson Road, next door to the Watson Fire Dept., at the old Watson Saddle Club.

• HARVEST DAY Finley Grove MB Church, Hwy. 7 North, will have a Harvest Day Program at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Robert Bowers and True Faith of Piperton, Tenn., will be special guests. Pastor is Rev. James Green; chairperson is Joyce Brown.

• ANNIVERSARY The Silver Stars will celebrate their 43rd anniversary at the Baptist Association Building, 6 p.m. M.C. will be Bro. Dexter Shipp. Groups included in program are The Dynamic Angels, Faithful Few, Mallory Boys, Gospel Travelers, Hudson Singers, Faithful Singers of New Albany, Waller Singers of Como, The Great Wings of Joy, Annointed Spiritualettes, Twilight Singers, Stars of Faith, Harmoniers of Oxford, Golden Echoes of Tupelo, and the Unique Authority of Marion, Ark. Donation at the door is $7.

• ANNIVERSARY Kimbrough Church will have the Luellen Gospel Singers’ Anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Rev. J.W. Smith Jr. invites all.

• REVIVAL Mt. Comfort CME Church will host a Fall Revival, Sunday, Oct. 13-Tues., Nov. 15, 7 p.m. each night. The theme is “Reaching The Masses.” The guest evangelist is Pastor Jeffery Daniel of White Hill M.B. Church in Tupelo. The host pastor is Rev. Charles Penson.

• Annual Harvest Day will be held at Pleasant Hill CME Church, Mt. Pleasant, 2:30 p.m. The guests will be Rev. Calvin Rayborn and the Liberty Hill MB Church of Byhalia. Rev. Willie Hoey, pastor, invites everyone.

• Old Fashion Day, homecoming, and singing will be held at Friendship Baptist Church, Old Hernando Road. Bro. Steve Parish will bring the morning message at 11 a.m. Inspired by Grace will be the featured singers. Fellowship lunch will be held at 12 noon. Bro. • New meeting place The Humane Society of Marshall County would like to announce our new meeting place: our Adoption Center on Eddie L. Smith Dr. Even though our meeting space is only half finished, we are proud to announce we have enough completed that we can now have our monthly meetings there. • State of the County presentation, sponsored by the Marshall County IDA and CREATE Foundation, Nov. 17, 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Eddie Lee Smith Multi-Purpose Building, 235 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs. The public is cordially invited.

November 19

• EXPO Finley Grove M.B. Church, Hwy. 7 North, will have a Pre-Thanksgiving Gospel Expo, 4 p.m. Special groups and choirs will be performing. Pastor is James C. Green; chair is Joyce Brown.

• Concert Sat., Nov. 19, 6 p.m. featuring the All Saints Mega Workshop Choir, at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries, 565 Neely St., Holly Springs. Musical guest will be Billy Rivers.

November 20

• ANNUAL FALL HARVEST DINNER will be held at Emory Independent Methodist Church. Sunday School will begin at 9:45 a.m., worship service at 11 a.m. and dinner following service. Everyone is invited.

• MISSIONARY PROGRAM Hebron Chapel CME Church, 2827 Hernando Road, will have their Missionary Program hosted by Linda Mathis, 2:30 p.m. Special speaker will be Rev. Barbara Richardson. Host pastor is Marco Finley. Refreshments will be served.

• APPRECIATION DAY Jones Grove will have an appreciation program for the first lady, Louise Powell at 3 p.m. The public is invited.

• A Night of Music will be held at Pleasant Hill CME Church, Mt. Pleasant, 6 p.m. The youth choir along with other choirs will be in concert. Rev. Willie Hoey, pastor, invites everyone.

• Prayer rally sponsored by the ladies of the Wings Sunday School class at First Baptist Church in Holly Springs. Sun., Nov. 20, 3 p.m. at northern gazebo on the courthouse lawn. • LOVE DAY Bell Grove, Tyro Road in Chulahoma will have their Pastor Love Day for Servant Marvin Lucas Sr. at 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Mark Davis and Wyatt Community Church. Everyone is invited.

December 3

• Pathway to Jesus, December 8, 9, 10 BridgeWay Baptist Church with support of Barton First Baptist and the community are creating an interactive trip through Bethlehem to the Nativity. • Recovery Meeting SOS Christian Recovery Ministries will host a group meeting Friday evenings at 6 p.m. The group’s primary focus is drug addiction, alcoholism and the affected families. There will be a group for family members to learn how to cope and heal from the destructive behavior of an addict or an alcoholic in the family.
