One charged with burglary Holly Springs police responded to 88 calls for the week, according to interim chief John Norman. The calls included – disturbances, 4; funerals, 4; alarms, 10; larcenies, 2; accidents, 3; burglaries, 5; assaults, 2; assists to other agencies, 2; malicious mischief, 4; domestics, 3; auto burglaries, 4 and 45 miscellaneous calls. The dog catcher took nine calls. Officers responded to or took the following reports. Monday, Oct. 24 • report of a deceased person in the 200 block of Johnson Park. • simple assault in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Drive. • simple assault in the 100 block of North Walthall. • a threat in the 200 block of Rolfing Road. • petit larceny in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Drive. • residential burglary in the 200 block of North Chesterman. • domestic violence/simple assault in the 300 block of Peyton Road. • domestic violence/simple assault in the 200 block of Randolph Street. Tuesday, Oct. 25 • carjacking in the area of West Woodward Avenue. • auto burglary in the 100 block of South Center Street. • auto burglary in the 200 block of East Valley Street. Thursday, Oct. 27 • simple assault in the 100 block of North Walthall. • petit larceny in the 70 block of Sunset Acres. • counterfeit money in the 300 block of East Van Dorn Avenue. • petit larceny in the 100 block of Gholson Avenue. Friday, Oct. 28 • kidnapping in the 100 block of Whaley Drive. • attempted auto burglary in the Stewart Street area. • attempted residential burglary in the 900 block of Salem Avenue. Saturday, Oct. 29 • simple assault in the 100 block of Rust Avenue. • malicious mischief in the 200 block of East Falconer Avenue. Sunday, Oct. 30 • shoplifting in the 900 block of Mackie Drive. • fake money in the area of Martin Luther King Drive. • domestic violence/simple assault in the 600 block of Rosaland Drive. • malicious mischief in the 800 block of West Street. One felony arrest was reported. Thomas A. Rogers, 43, of the 50 block of Trice Drive, was arrested and charged with two counts of residential burglary, Norman said. Officers reported the following citations – speeding, 17, no proof of liability insurance, 26; expired driver's license, 3; loud music, 1; possession of paraphernalia, 1; disregard for traffic device, 6; careless driving, 1; child restraint, 2; seatbelt violation, 11; no/expired tag, 6; other violations, 3; Misdemeanor arrests included – no driver’s license/possession of paraphernalia, 1 arrest; no driver’s license/possession of marijuana, 1 arrest; no driver's license/contempt, 1 arrest; no driver’s license, 4 arrests; driving while license suspended, 5 arrests; contempt, 8 arrests; public drunk, 1 arrest; DUI refusal/reckless driving, 1 arrest; DUI refusal/petit larceny, 1 arrest; domestic violence/simple assault/driving while license suspended, 1 arrest; domestic violence/simple assault, 2 arrests; shoplifting, 1 arrest; petit larceny, 1 arrest; possession of marijuana/possession of beer by a minor, 1 arrest; and possession of marijuana/possession of alcohol in a vehicle, 1 arrest. |
