The election is necessary due to the recent death of Mayor Ricky Lesure. The special election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 15, with a runoff date of Tuesday, Nov. 29, if necessary. Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce announces its next Membership Meeting
this Thursday, Oct. 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Beckley Center
across from Rust College in Holly Springs. The
keynote speaker is Ivy Owen, a Holly Springs native and community
development expert from Fort Chaffee, Ark. He has been in economic and

Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Chamber
Celebration on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at
Thistledome Inn. It will be held in conjunction with the Byhalia Arts Council. It
will be a night of celebrating, which will include the annual chamber
awards for customer service, leader of the year and board member of the
