City police respond to several burglary calls

Holly Springs police officers answered 128 calls for the week, said interim police chief John Norman.

They included the following – disturbances 6; funerals, 6; alarms, 11; larcenies, 4; accidents, 8; burglaries, 8; 911 hang-ups, 6; shots fired, 3; auto burglary, 1; assaults, 1; assists, 1; malicious mischief, 2; domestics, 6; and 65 miscellaneous calls. The dog catcher took 7 calls.

Officers filed the following reports:

Monday, Oct. 10

• residential burglary/grand larceny in the 100 block of North Maury Street.

• stalking in the 100 block of Rust Avenue.

• commercial burglary in the 100 block of Gholson Avenue.

• malicious mischief on Spring Street.

Tuesday, Oct. 11

• phone harassment in the 300 block of East Salem.

• petit larceny in the 800 block of West Street.

• malicious mischief in the 400 block of Van Dorn Avenue.

• credit card fraud in the 100 block of Rust Avenue.

• robbery in the 600 block of Highway 7 South.

• grand larceny in the 700 block of Martin Luther King Drive.

Wednesday, Oct. 12

• petit larceny in the 900 block of Highway 4 East.

• domestic violence/simple assault in the 200 block of West Elder Avenue.

Thursday, Oct. 13

• counterfeit money in the 900 block of Mackie Drive.

• commercial burglary in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Drive.

Friday, Oct. 14

• petit larceny/trespassing in the 200 block of Clara Avenue.

• simple assault by threat in the 100 block of Walthall Street.

• disturbance in the 300 block of Martin Luther King Drive.

• auto burglary in the 100 block of Shelby Drive.

• residential burglary in the 300 block of East College Avenue.

• residential burglary in the 300 block of Van Dorn Avenue.

Sunday, Oct. 16

• attempted crime in the 200 block of North Memphis Street.

• residential burglary in the 400 block of Hill Street.

• petit larceny in the 600 block of Highway 7 South.

• residential burglary in the 200 block of South Chesterman Street.

• residential burglary in the 300 block of Van Dorn Avenue.

Police officers made two felony arrests.

Katarus Isom, 27, of the Dowdy Road address area, was arrested and charged with auto burglary, Norman said.

Fredchello Moore, 28, of the 300 block of West Street, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, he said.

Officers reported the following citations: speeding, 2; no proof of liablilty insurance, 9; no/expired driver’s license, 6; possession of marijuana, 1; seatbelt violation, 2; open container, 1; loud music, 1; driving while license is suspended implied, 1; disregard for traffic device, 3; other violations, 3.

Officers made the following arrests: no/expired driver’s license, 3; driving while license is suspended, 4 arrests; driving while license is suspended/open container in motor vehicle, 1; contempt, 5; DUI/no drivers license, 1; DUI refusal/no driver’s license/reckless driving, 1; possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, 1; open container in motor vehicle, 1; no/expired driver’s license/simple assault, 1 arrest; simple assault, 2; public drunk, 1; disorderly conduct/simple assault, 1; stalking/phone harassment, 1; simple assault/malicious mischief, 1; domestic violence/simple assault/contempt, 1.
