Four in a row • Hawks blank Bears in district game By BARRY BURLESON Editor Holly Springs put the foot on the pedal early Friday night and never let off. The Hawks scored on their first play from scrimmage and added five more touchdowns in a 41-0 blowout of Alcorn Central. It was their fourth straight win. Class AA Marshall rebounded from a setback to North Delta and completed
a sweep of Class AAA squads this season by whipping Pillow Academy

MA-Winston combine for 110 points • Patriots go to 6-0 There was an October fireworks show Thursday night in Louisville. Marshall
Academy and Winston Academy junior high football teams lit up the
scoreboard with 110 points. The Patriots lifted their unbeaten record
to 6-0 with a 64-46 win. MA totaled 550 yards on offense with quarterback Dakota Dailey rushing for 372. He had five runs of more than 50 yards each. Full Story

Byers blasts Buccaneers By CLAUDE VINSON Sports Editor The
H.W. Byers Lions, coming off of a big road win at Tupelo Christian the
week before, returned home Friday to face the Benton County Buccaneers. The
Bucs won the toss and elected to receive. They gained a first down on a
quarterback scramble but had to punt away after three unsuccessful
