Holly Springs police go to several burglary calls Holly
Springs police officers responded to 95 calls last week and made one
felony arrest, according to interim chief John Norman. He
said Andrea C. Sims, 30, of the 200 block of West Woodward Avenue, was
arrested and charged with domestic violence/aggravated assault. Calls
included the following categories – disturbances; 17; assaults, 2;
domestics, 5; auto burglary, 1; alarms, 9; larcenies, 2; accidents, 1;
burglaries, 5, 911 hang-ups, 2; law enforcement and medical assists, 3;
auto theft/robbery, 1; shots fired, 1; assaults, 2; malicious mischief,
1; and 43 miscellaneous calls. The dog catcher answered six calls. Officers reported the following incidents: Monday, Sept. 12 • auto burglary in 1600 block of Cresent Meadows Drive. Tuesday, Sept. 13 • commercial burglary in the 100 block of West Van Dorn Avenue. • auto burglary in the 200 block of South Chesterman Street. Wednesday, Sept. 14 • leaving the scene of an accident in the 100 block of North Market Street. • petit larceny in the 200 block of West Elder Avenue. • larceny in the 100 block of Chickasaw Circle. Thursday, Sept. 15 • residential burglary/grand larceny in the 200 block of East College. Friday, Sept. 16 • residential burglary/grand larceny in the 50 block of McMillan Drive. Saturday, Sept. 17 • grand larceny in the 300 block of Martin Luther King Drive. • domestic violence/aggravated assault in the 200 block of Shadow Lane. An arrest was made. • robbery in the 600 block of Colonial Drive. Officers
reported these additional misdemeanors or citations – speeding, 3; no
proof of liability insurance, 4; no/expired driver’s licenses, 2; loud
music, 1; careless driving, 2; DUI, 1 arrest; contempt, 1 arrest;
driving while license suspended, 1 arrest; simple assault, 1 arrest;
willful trespassing, 1 arrest, and public drunk, 1 arrest. |
