ObituariesEugene Bolden Eugene Bolden, 65, of Lamar, died Aug. 13, 2011, at his home. He was the widower of Judy Bolden and a construction worker. Services
were held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 16 at Clear Creek Baptist Church, where he

leaves two sons, Ron Bolden (Karen) of Byhalia, Greg Bolden (Renee) of
Red Banks; two brothers, Ralph Bolden of Lamar, Sidney Bolden of
Byhalia; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Bolden; and a sister, Eva May Bolden. Pallbearers

Anderson “Wine” Nunnally Jr., 61, of Holly Springs, died Aug. 10, 2011,
in Holly Springs. He was a graduate of W.T. Sims High School and
Northwest Community College and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam era.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 18 at
Adolphus Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs. Burial will be in the
church cemetery. Rev. Charles Dooley will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and
Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He
leaves two daughters, Jennifer Nunnally Williams of Jackson, Chalencia
Nunnally of Holly Springs; five sisters, Ase Lee Nunnally, Robbie N.
Zinn, Mattie Clayborn, Linda Malone, all of Holly Springs, Laura Ann
Buford of Oxford; four brothers, Levi Balfour of Killeen, Tx., Roy Lee
Jeffries, Larry Nunnally, Lewis Wicks, all of Holly Springs; four
grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Nunnally; and a sister, Lillie Mae Alexander. Joseph W. Phillips Jr. Joseph
W. Phillips Jr., 71, of Byhalia, died Aug. 12, 2011. He was the widower
of Joyce Phillips, his wife of 51 years. He retired from Coors Brewery.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 16 at
First Baptist Church of Byhalia. Burial was in Byhalia Cemetery.
Brantley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. He
leaves his son, Allen Phillips of Byhalia; his daughter, Cathy Anderson
of Olive Branch; his brother, Robert Phillips (Denise); his sister,

Lynn Stewart Riley, 78, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs,
died Aug. 5, 2011, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis. She was the widow of
James Riley and a retired cook. Services were
held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 13 at Strickland United Methodist Church in
Byhalia, where she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery.

was in charge of arrangements. She leaves a sister, Claudia Maggie Taylor of Memphis. Glen Fredrick Sharp Glen Fredrick Sharp, 72, of Lamar, died Aug. 8, 2011, at his home. He was a business owner and a farmer. Services
were held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 11 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Clear Creek Cemetery in Lamar. Bro. Jim Polk officiated. He
leaves his wife, Linda Sharp; three daughters, Anita Muncy of Lamar,
Lorrie Vowell of McCool, Sheila Ferrara of Tampa, Fla.; and six
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Allyssabeth Vowell. Memorials may be made to the Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Pallbearers
