a.m. to 1 p.m. at Craw de Lis Restaurant. It is sponsored by

on Saturday, Aug. 27, the chamber will host the Sounds of Summer Music

include a 5K walk/run ($15 pre-registration and $20 at the event),
food, dunk tank, children’s games, artisans’ booths, entertainment and
more. Bring blankets and lawn chairs and join the fun. Hummingbird festival set for Sept. 9-11 The annual Hummingbird Celebration at Strawberry Plains Audubon Center is just around the corner. The event, one of the biggest tourist attractions in the South, will be held September 9-11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors are invited to come see the tiny birds caught, banded and released right before their eyes. Plus, there will be live bats, snakes and other wildlife; guided wagon rides and nature walks; kids’ tent; and much more.
