85, of Potts Camp, died July 1, 2011, at Baptist East Hospital in
Memphis, Tenn. She was the widow of Hubert Austin Evans and Pentecostal. Services
were held at 2 p.m. on July 3 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery in Potts Camp. Bro. Steve Wilson and
Bro. Farron Ash officiated. She leaves six sons,
Bobby Joe Lewis of Cornersville, Jimmy Evans, Terry Evans, both of
Potts Camp, Johnny Evans of Olive Branch, Danny Evans of Waterford,
Charles Evans of Holly Springs; three daughters, Debbie Stanton of
Potts Camp, Sandra Lyon of Southaven, Jeanie Ash of Olive Branch; a
brother, Sonny Potter of Potts Camp; four sisters, Dorothy Frayser,
Jean Thompson, both of Potts Camp, Frances Carpenter of Michigan City,
Ruby Churchill of Bethlehem; 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren
and three great-great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by two sons, Larry Wayne Evans, Henry Austin Evans;
and three daughters, Diana Evans Allen, Kathy Evans Matthews and Ann

Vaughn Mansel, 94, of Potts Camp, died June 29, 2011, at Union County
Health & Rehab in New Albany. She was the widow of Warner “Tag”
Mansel, a member of First Baptist Church of Abbeville and formerly
employed with Wurlitzer. Services were held at 10
a.m. on July 2 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in
Abbeville Cemetery. Bro. Randy Bynum and Bro. Donald Worsham
officiated. She leaves her son, John Mansel of
Potts Camp; six daughters, Peggy Cook, Betty Alderson, Mary Neal,
Brenda Gregg, Rose Clark, Verona Lynn Bridges, all of Potts Camp; 19
grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, William Arthur Mansel, Henry Grady Mansel; and a daughter, Willie Margaret Mansel. Pallbearers
were Roy Cook, Dale Bridges, D. Floyd, Ricky Aldersons, Neal Mansel and
Jason Floyd. Honorary pallbearers were Randy Alderson, Lonnie Cook,

were held at 11 a.m. on July 2 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home
Chapel. Burial was in Odd Fellows East Cemetery. Rev. Perry Irvin
officiated. He leaves his wife, Ernestine
Stegall; two sons, Terrell Stegall Kroening of Prior Lake, Minn.,
William Trainer of Indianapolis, Ind.; five daughters, Sharon Campbell
of Holly Springs, Sherry Fritz of Cheyenne, Okla., Teresa Davis of
Gulfport, Glenda Upchurch of Carrollton, Teresa Baker of Greenwood; a
sister, Ruby Lee Shoemaker of Decatur; 23 grandchildren, 17
great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon Stegall and Burton Stegall. Pallbearers were Cameron Baker, Chris Baker, Channing Upchurch, Jacob Upchurch, Marvin Haley and Jimmy Doyle Shoemaker. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Sandra Louise Wilkins Sandra Louise Wilkins, 55,of Holly Springs, died June 27, 2011. She was a former employee of Wurlitzer. Services
were held at 12 noon on July 2 at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel with
burial in the Yarbrough Chapel CME Church cemetery. Rev. Jerry
Christian Jr. officiated. She leaves a
daughter, Jacqulyn Jeffries (Richard); a son, James McNeil (Ann) of
Hollly Springs; four sisters, JoAllen Hale (Herman), Debra Braddock,
Brenda Falkner (Clevion) and Sharon Braddock, all of Holly Springs; two
brothers, Thomas Wilkins (Cathedral) and Robert L. Wilkins, both of
Holly Springs; and 10 grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Sims; two brothers, T.C. and
Karry Wilkins; a son Gary Pegues III and a granddaughter Raven Jeffries. Pallbearers
were Kendrae Hale, Marvin Sims, Dentrell Braddock, Antonio Lesure,
Deron Falkner, Robmon Braddock and James A. Sims. Honorary pallbearers
were Richard Jeffries, Rogers Sims, Eugene Sims, Ricky Jeffries, Willie
L. Sims, James McNeil, Thomas Wilkins, Eddie F. Sims and Robert L.
