• Bag sale The Watson Volunteer Fire Dept. will be open this Friday, July 8, and Saturday, July 9 - 8 a.m. til 2 p.m. Rain or shine! This is our famous bag sale. A 55-gallon bag is just $5! • A car wash sponsored by AfterShock Youth of Friendship Assembly of God will be held in the Kroger parking lot in Olive Branch. This is a fund-raiser for Speed The Light, a non-profit Christian ministry that provides money to missionaries to purchase vehicles and audio/visual equipment.

• Singing New Hope Baptist Church, Valentine Road and Hwy. 72, Slayden, will have a singing Saturday night, July 9, starting at 7 p.m. Featured group will be The Ross Family from Mifflin, Tenn. Bro. Billy Adair and congregation invites everyone to attend. Fellowship supper after singing.
